Conservative Media 'Watchdog' Miffed Over Lesbian in MSNBC Line-up
Tim Graham, Director of Media Analysis at the Media Research Center (a conservative watchdog group) shares his consternation over alleged liberal media bias with the hosts at right-wing FOX News. Not only does MSNBC employ Olbermann and Matthews, Graham bloviates — they've now given a show to a gay host:
"Not only is the damage already done, the damage continues. Not only are they keeping these people on during the night, they are adding this lesbian Air America Radio host, Rachel Maddow..."

i hate that i went to journalism school, because whenever i hear the term, "objective journalism," it just means that reporters are...i guess...obligated to voice the side of an argument that is ultimately damaging to other people...just to be fair and supply another opinion.
even if it's damaging to a group of people or normalizes a negative image of a group of people.
and conservatives journalists need to start taking responsibility for their own biased reporting. dumb shits.

Ian, I have to agree. What ever happened to actually researching or investigating an issue? All I ever see on cable news are commentators pontificating their opinions, or "news shows" that have a panel of extreme whack jobs to scream over each other about minutiae nuances instead of real issues. I've come to a new realization that; If there is a hosts name in the title of the show, treat is as nothing more than entertainment. Sorry, Rachel. You are also falling into that category.
Interesting, with Barack interviews on Bill O'Reily and Olberman at the same time, I allowed myself to scan through the channels between Fox, MSNBC and CNN. Pundits on Fox: Obama was solid! Pundits on MSNBC: Obama needs to come out swinging. Pundits on AC360/CNN: Hillary was right, Obama can't stand up to McCain.
Bile rose into my throat.
So much for the LIBERAL MEDIA. I DO like the idea that at this stage, Barack is getting more support from Conservatives and the GOP! I wish the LIBERALS would get on board with him.

She will have to tone down her rhetoric a bit if she wants to be treated seriously, though that might hurt ratings. What I didn't like was all the fun they were making of Anderson Cooper during the convention--and that was his co-hosts on CNN! Did they have to insinuate about his hair and suit at every opportunity? Are they trying to kick him out of the closet so they can grab his anchor spot?
