  2. Good for you Andy.
As a long time fan I hope you continue to prosper.

  3. How many years has it been since The Advocate ran its first piece on gay bloggers? And they're still reporting (such as it is) on bloggers breaking stories instead of making news on their own site.

It's 2008. The Advocate should dominate gay news on the Web, not report on those who do.

Are they ever going to get a clue?

  4. Day-um, Andy, you're looking hotter than ever.

    Congrats on the article.

  5. I knew you were good, but I didn't know you were hot. Nice...

  6. See, you got power, Andy. If Biden steps down in 2012, Slim Jim knows who can replace him. You'll have to have a partner--America likes wholesome vice-presidents.

And that's why that moose killin' hockey Hun aint gonna' win this year.

  7. You are a hottie Andy! Not that it matters, becuase I read for content not for your cuteness!

  8. Big ups to Andy for getting to the important issues and not focusing on twinks in underwear. I have read and will continue to read and support, shout out, and push Towleroad.

  9. Andy, will you marry me?

    Posted by: Eric | Sep 11, 2008 2:46:47 PM

  10. Congrats on your SCOOP!
But it took me a while to get to the article, there were a couple of enormous biceps in the way... when is your Men's Fitness spread on the power of keyboard curls?
    ;)
Cheers Andy -- Between Towleroad and AfterElton, gay news and cultural theory never had it so good....

  11. Coolness!

    I like it when you're opinionated! :)

  12. Well done Andy! Keep up the great work!

  13. Beside the excellent article in Advocate, FINALLY I get the correct pronunciation of your last name: TOLL as in TOLL booth; TOLL house...and OMG, you're hot!

Keep up the sizzling hot current news.

  14. I felt like the witch hunt against Jonathan Crutchley was one of the lowest points in our recent history as a community. He donated his own money to the presidential candidate in the party he supports. Manhunt did not donate the money. It was his own personal money. It was not our (those of us that subscribe to Manhunt) money.
The hypocrisy in the outrage and subsequent actions against him is detrimental to our credibility, immature, irresponsible and downright embarrassing.
The idea that we should be watchdogs for how people spend their salaries is ludicrous.
I'm gay, more of a socialist than a democrat, and the idea of McCain as president scares and pisses me off as much as any other socially conscious American. But it's no excuse to sink to Roveian tactics; which is exactly what happened here.
To Andy's credit ( I read his blog religiously) - I don't recall him ever "taking sides" or calling us to arms. His reports are almost always straightforward and unbiased.

  15. Cameron, catch that knee before it jerks to fast.
Applying economic pressure to effect a political outcome is as old as the Boston Tea Party.
Perhaps you missed the whole South African divestiture movement.
Nothing Rovian about it at all.
    Each of us
makes a choice with every purchase and if a company or officer in that company supports policies antithetical to our well being, boycott is appropriate.
BTW,usually only trolls find it necessary to insert their political bona fides to fly under the radar.

  16. Go, Andy! Go, Andy!

    Posted by: Mark | Sep 11, 2008 3:44:28 PM

  17. Could not have been better stated Brian! The blogger and the commenters on Towleroad equally rock!

Towleroad has become a daily "must read" for many friends I have directed to this site and has provided on-line friendships--Zeke, RB, Derrick from Philly--that I treasure.

Andy presents daily a sublime mix of politics, culture, and beautiful men, (including himself). Bravo Mr. Towle!

  18. "...Towleroad (pronounced “toll road”)..."

Duh! That makes sense. LOL. All this time I've been pronouncing it like "Towel-road".

    Posted by: Jason | Sep 11, 2008 4:27:12 PM

  19. I second that Duh! Yeah, me too. The Advocate made it so I finally "got" the joke in the site name.

    Posted by: Strepsi | Sep 11, 2008 4:36:16 PM

  20. Is that you in that picture on Advocate?? You're hotter than I thought. Congrats for the cover :)

  21. Andy is both a key figure in our community and Babe-a-liciousness Personified!
