GOP Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann is a Liar
I noted Bachmann's appearance on Hardball in my earlier post on the Colin Powell endorsement. Bachmann told Matthews: "I’m very concerned he may have anti-American views."
On WCCO in Minneapolis this morning, Bachmann denied she said such a thing.
Bachmann's appearance on Hardball brought her primary opponent Aubrey Immelman back into the race as a write-in candidate and helped her Democratic opponent Ed Tinklenberg, raise $438,000 in twenty-four hours.
DailyKos notes Bachmann may be in big trouble.

I didn't know that they still had people like her in a progressive state like Minnesota. Well, every place can't be a Massachusettes or Vermont... but they're all so damn cold. Why can't there be progressive states where it's warm?
Oh, yeah, there is Hawaii....expensive though, isn't it?

I could be wrong, but I believe I read somewhere that Michelle Bachmann was being considered by McCain to be his Secretary of State if he's elected.

Amazing.
What is going on in the Republican party? Over the last 4-5 years it's been an escalating implosion.
I think Bill Mahr should have this crazy bitch and the racist bitch of the Obama chicken & watermelon bill on as panelists. That would be worth subscribing to a premium channel for...

i don't believe that woman is capable of intoning a word of truth.
to paraphrase mary mccarty: every word she speaks is a lie-including the, if and of.

"I didn't know that they still had people like her in a progressive state like Minnesota."
Bachmann represents a flaming red district. Which is right next to a flaming blue district represented by Keith Ellison. They are both extremists and the district is proportioned to guarantee their reelection over and over again. But at least Ellison has a brain - Bachmann is a complete idiot.
(i was born in the district that Bachmann represents - I live in the district that Ellison represents)

No one I've ever talked with here in Minnesota can understand how she got elected. She's an embarrassment - remember her grabbing George W. for a hug? When she was campaigning she said that passing an anti-gay marriage amendment was the most important issue in the nation. She was caught by a photographer hiding behind some bushes at a gay rights rally at the capitol. She has a sister (or maybe half-sister) who is a lesbian, and there's a lot of innuendo about her husband, a therapist who evidently claims that homosexuality can be "cured."

I watched the original airing on Hardball. It was fascinating. Chris Matthews kept asking her to clarify her statement - basically offering her an out, but she was too stupid to take it. She's the culmination of Rovian politics and gerrymandering and I'm glad she's in office. She is just the sort of hateful cunt America needs to look at before going and voting a straight Democratic ticket.

Can we stop pretending that the GOP has suddenly become a party of loonies and bigots? These people have been acting this way since 1968 and the adoption of the Southern Strategy!
Republicans have used anti-gay rhetoric for 2 generations. The same with anti-black and anti-Latino. It's only within the last 8 years, women have made greater in roads into the upper echelons of GOP power.
In 1980, Ronald Regan went to Philadelphia, Mississippi when two young Jewish and one African-American civil rights workers were brutally butchered/lynched and declared his support of "States Rights!" That was the battle cry for the Confederacy. In 1988, Bush the father used Willie Horton to scare white voters of blacks.
In between this period, the Republicans lined themselves up with the Evangelical and fundamentalist crowd that pushed anti-gay messages.
What we are seeing now, however, is the seismic cultural shift where people are finally rejecting a lot of the GOP hate instead of just accepting it.
Ask yourselves why someone like Pat Buchanan, who has a long history of anti-Jewish and anti-black rhetoric has been a national correspondent for years. Why has Rush Limbaugh been a GOP luminary. Why has Sean Hannity been a success even though he hosted a Neo-Nazi on his show in New York for years?
It's simply a wink and nod acceptance of that hate.
Enough is enough! Don't let these dirt bags get away with it. Fight back! Force the news media to answer why they allow these hateful idiots on TV in the name of "diverse" opinion.
Look at the dirtbag, brainwashed "Men-sar" who describes himself as gay but calls other gay people "faggots" with a hateful rage and then affirms that gays are second-rate, sub-human lot. Unless we stand up, we're screwed!
This election is more than just getting Obama elected, it's also about getting control of the Supreme Court. Some of the most powerful and meaningful decisions that affect civil right come from the Court. If you want gay marriage, realize that it will take a Supreme Court ruling to crush all of the state restrictions.

If she's doing this in an attempt to break America up into sides, then she's the anti-American.
DISGUSTING. SHAMEFUL. LOW. CONSERVATIVE '08.
