NC Democrat Kay Hagan Fires Back at Dole's 'Godless' Attack Ad
Yesterday, I posted Elizabeth Dole's "Godless" attack ad on Democratic opponent Kay Hagan's religious beliefs. I've posted it again AFTER THE JUMP, along with Hagan's blistering response.
Apparently there's no room at all in North Carolina for the slightest skepticism about supernatural entities, with or without long white beards. I suppose that doesn't make it all that much different from the rest of the country, though.
[Yes, yes, of course Dole's attack was beyond contemptible.]

LIke a lot of gay men, I loves me my female politicians. And Kay Hagan lays down the law against Dole, who is a contemptible swine of a politician (not least because of that Helms AIDS act renaming business).
That said, how appalling that in the 21st century, we have national candidates fighting over who believes in what supernatural fairy story. I know it gives people the warm fuzzies, but it scares the hell out of me.

Watching Liddy Dole descend to this level of slime to keep her Senate seat is like watching that guy in Trainspotting dig in the toilet for the heroin.
Kay Hagan is free to meet with whomever she wishes, and hopefully does not screen attendees at fundraisers by religious creed.

That was an awesome comeback by Kay Hagen, she called out the bad synthetic wig wearing, hypocritical,homophobic bigot, air-head Dole with the truth, and nothing but the truth.

This is pretty close to as literal a "holier than thou" response as you could get. Instead of attacking the depravity of attacking someone's lack of faith (because everyone knows there's nothing scarier or more evil than an atheist), she essentially endorses it as a tactic but refutes it factually. Nice.

Dole is so highly revered here in NC, it's scary what she thinks she can get away with...too big for her britches is the understatement of the century. Anyone & everyone alive should have been outraged by this type of smear-tactic. Blech!

Hagan is a class A witch/bitch clinging to her low end protestant cult which ordered divestment from Israel in favor of Arafat's PLO. She refuses to take a position on ANYTHING...I mean ANYTHING. Hagan was/is a major part of the North Carolina democrat party coruption. Wonder if she has visited Jim Black in jail?
