7. Please listen to me. I am a 60 year old attorney who has been representing abused and neglected children and vulnerable adults since before Rachel Maddow was born. The day that I saw her genius was when they (the "higher ups"on MSNBC) put her on the God awful Tucker Carlson show to "give him more than one dimension,...,well, I knew we had a hit, a genius times twelve with a sense of humor thank God on our hands. I don't write letters about gay marriage, prison reform, Obama, etc. but I went off the charts at this young woman's brains and I let MSNBC know that they had better contract her forthwith because she had more talent than she even knew she had (radio show notwithstanding...she belongs on TV...come on guys no one in the world including Grace Kelly has a neck that long without showing it off....sorry Rachel) and she could be an atheist for all I know but God gave her more talent than Barbara Walters prays for on those reckety knees daily and if she had an ounce worth of sense, then Rachel would be guest slotting that show at least monthly. In any event, therein started my letter writing, actual phoning (never got anywhere but hung up on) one man campaign to get Rachel Maddow somewhere on television so that I would have at least a part of my day when not in court dealing with trauma that I could hear genius backed up with research and delivered with humor and respectfulness. So I love her. I'd adopt her, her girfriend and her truck in a New York second and finally this must be said: every gay male bone in my body wants to take her shopping. I know that she would hate it and physically attack me but she wouldn't have to do anything but sit in the back of my Lincoln and occassionally try something on and let me see how it looked. When I got done, The Zabrinski woman will be texting her for wardrobe choices by 9:33 PM. Thank you everyone for letting me digress and carry on like this. Don't know where in the world I'd find a more understanding crowd. I am old. I am tired. And to trump it all, I am the "gay boy" who is stll taking care of his mother!!! I will probably never write to another blog again as long as I live but I had to let this out. Thanks family and thanks Rachel for making an old lawyer's dreams come true. We can make it if we try.
