Interesting election year caution...

I find it quite reprehensible that ANY campaign group would take children, feed them chopped lines with political intent, and then feed it to adults hoping for the "cutesy" factor to win over votes.
The issues in this election are much more serious than what most of these small children can even grasp.
WTF?

MARK, your concerns are fair, but the younger children mostly said stuff like "Yes, we can" and "Dear John" - the questionable stuff was about war (it was true), his lies (also true) and choice (and those 2 young women looked old enough to understand).
The ad was cutesy & funny but it also makes us think about the next generation in a way most political ads don't. It will hopefully make people realise that they are voting for more than a 4-year president - GWB's legacy could mean kids in elementary school today will end up fighting his war in Iraq in a few years.
There was nothing offensive, incendiary, x-rated, hateful about the ad.

Sexyback, all politicians lie...Barack too.

Sexyback, the same ad using very pregnant mothers - and fathers holding newborns - would have conveyed the same message - and probably with more impact. Having a child definitely (well - usually) changes view points.
I just find it offensive/abusive when kids are used like this.

About the Signorile video, i just had an neighbor make a comment to me that they will not vote for Oboma cause 'He's an nigger." They had voted for Clinton and have been complaining that Bush has nearly destroyed this country. And said McCain is an Bush jr. . So it looks like they would rather see the county totally destroyed than vote for someone with an different skin color. Sick....Sick. This is the fear that Pallin has been trying to bring out of small minded idiots like my "neighbor" by saying he's different , not one of us. Old style code words. Sick...Sick. Shame on the GOP. And to anyone that votes for them. ALSO WHY AM I SEEING AN AD FOR DIANETICS.ORG ON THIS SITE!!!!
