Happy New Year!
Many parts of the world have already rung in 2009 (along with that extra leap second). Towleroad would like to wish you a very happy new year. Thank you for making 2008 our best ever.
We hope that 2009 will be a year of peace and (though it looks quite bleak at the moment) prosperity for all of you, that our new president will begin to usher in a new age of equality for all Americans, and that good health, happiness, and hope will be hallmarks of the coming twelve months. And thank God that George W. Bush is leaving office.
We also wanted to thank Corey Johnson, Kevin Sessums, Robbie Daw, Josh & Josh, and Jon Barrett for their contributions to the site over the last year.
Thank you all for reading. You have made 2008 a joy for us here at Towleroad. Have fun tonight, no matter how you choose to ring in 2009. We look forward to seeing you very soon again, next year!

Yours is honestly the first blog I come to in the mornings (And it KILLS me that I usually have to go through the weekends without a Towleroad fix - Hint, Hint!). I have definitely become a very loyal and enthusiastic follower and I look forward to all the goodies from you in 2009.

Just echoing Rhea...not gay or a man, but the Towle is my go-to site. Love the layout and the mix. I'm just out of school and I feel like I've also received an education of sorts from this site over the past 4 years. I feel very privileged to have been given such an awareness so I can start off in the real world knowing about issues that are important to me. Thank you, A-team. And for Knitter above -- you'll get there! Glad to hear you've found a place you can get a foothold and support while you navigate your way through the world.

Now... was anyone within eyesight of AC and Kathy Griffin at Midnight on New Years? There was one shot of him on CNN looking rather teary eyed and giving the sign to cut the scene. What was up with that?

Was I the only gay man at home watching Andy Cooper and Kathy Griffin in Times Square last night? Was I the only one to hear Kathy tell a heckler LIVE on CNN "Screw you buddy...I don't come to your job and knock the dicks out of your mouth!" I swear to God. It was heaven!
