Pat Robertson on Rick Warren, Gay Sex in Military Showers

Robertson

CNN went to longtime homophobe Pat Robertson to get his $.02 on the Rick Warren controversy, asking if he agreed with Tony Perkins that Warren was being used as a "pawn" by Obama.

Said Robertson: "[Rick Warren] has his own agenda. I think he'll stick to it. After all, he's been asked to give an invocation. He hasn't been asked to endorse Obama."

As a special bonus they got an answer out of him on whether or not he agrees with Colin Powell that the ban on gays in the military should be repealed.

Said Robertson: "It seemed to be the unanimous decision of the military leadership that the question of open homosexuality in the barracks and the showers was not a good thing for the discipline of the troops."

  1. As former military, I'll say that it won't make any difference in the showers. Guys are too afraid to have sex in public. In private, however....

  2. It's all about Sex with these people They just can't stop think about what we do in bed I don't know about any of you but I go to the gym and I take a shower with some guys I don't think about sex then. I think pat must know something or he has done something in the showers

  3. The MSM still doesn't get it! The anger with Warren is not because he is anti-gay marriage. The anger with Warren is because he is anti-gay, period.

  4. It amazes me how the mainstream media choose their guests. Especially guests who do not have any expertise in the area of military affairs and knowledge of unit cohesion. CNN is a dismal failure when it comes to this type of story because they constantly show their ignorance of the facts.

  5. I'm ex-army, and believe me after a hard as hell day in basic training you can barely stand in the shower let alone contimplate having sex. I love all these hypocritical idiots who never signed up for service yet they somhow think they are experts on the military.

  6. As a 6 year veteran of the Navy, i can speak from experience, there are more closeted gays in the military then you can imagine! What PR and his ilk speak of when they say "Openly Gay" - their interpretation is that we gays would be "Flaunting" our aberrant behavior - what we are asking is that we be allowed to be in the military AND serve without fear of witch-hunts, discharges, and all that comes with those two issues.. Serving openly gay simply means "allow us to be the person we are without having to be forced to hide our personal humanity!" leave it to Pat to take it to the gutter and as a writer above said "Why is it always about sex with these folks?!

  7. What a crooked old weasel. CNN is dumb for asking this POS what he thinks about military affairs as if HE is the expert.

  13. To echo a previous comment, why do these people spend so much time obsessing over our sex lives?

Their sodomy laws were overturned, homosexual sex isn't about to be outlawed so why do they give a fuck about who I blew last week? Since homosexual sex is legal it isn't even relevant to a gay rights discussions.

  14. Turns out that Rev. Lowery doesn't support gay marriage either:

  18. If soldiers aren't brave enough to be in the shower with a gay man, then how do they expect us to trust their bravery in the field of battle?

  19. Hmm...military shower sex DOES sound hot.

Pat might be on to something here.

  20. LWOOLF is totally right. The whole "oh noes! teh gay saw my pee-pee!" argument is ridiculous. The only time military guys have sex in the shower is in porn. Like, 95% of all porn.

  21. Amen to Paul b.'s comment. The majority of the mopes of the 700 club and Faux news never served! I work in a factory, I don't have a problem showering with straight people.

  22. I made six patrols on a nuclear submarine, and contrary to popular belief, submarines DON'T go to sea with 130 men and come back with 65 couples! I cannot even remember any shipmates I was attracted to. Many were good friends, and I would have given my life for them, but sex? NOT!
