Jake Gyllenhaal, Opie Join Jamie Foxx Posse in New Video

Gyllenhaal

Not only is Jake Gyllenhaal branching out to the world of Broadyway musical adaptations, he's now flexing his acting chops in hip-hop videos, specifically the new Jamie Foxx feat. T-Pain track "Blame It".

Other cameos are made by Forest Whitaker and Samuel L. Jackson. But the weirdest by far has to be Ron Howard. Who knew Opie would one day end up in the back seat of this car?

Watch it, AFTER THE JUMP...

  1. Okay, I went and downloaded this from iTunes. Not because I like the song. Or Jamie Foxx. Because Jake is in it. *sigh*

  2. I'm right there with you, Luke. I can never get enough of Jake. And thanks Andy for two Jake posts in one day. It's going to be a great weekend!

  3. Andy, if you're reading comments, the "CONTACT" section of the Web site isn't working.

  4. Geez lousie. Glad to know that I can blame all my stupid behaviors on alka...alka...alcohol.

  5. I think cameos from Don Johson, Bruce Willis, Eddie Murphey, Russell Crowe and Terrence Howard would have been more appropriate. Then we could have six actors who pretend to be singers all in one lousy video.

Think about all the real singers and musicians who can't get their music played on the radio or television and then we have this crap. Vanity projects are gross.

  6. A friend of mine is a freelance journalist who does interviews with celebrities for magazines like 'OK!', 'Us', etc... She has *nothing* nice to say about Jamie Foxx, describing him as insanely arrogant. So I'm a bit disappointed to see Jake (and Opie) contributing to his vanity project.

  7. A sad day when people can pay their way into the studio and produce crap, while talented artists struggle against the "American Idol" bubblegum machine.

  8. This is hysterically funny. The opening scene should have every sober person in the room laughing. I just don't get the Jake thing. Not a good looking man.

  9. PeterParker, Jake and Jamie are friendly from when they did Jarhead. Thankfully it doesn't seem any arrogance Jamie may have affected Jake, Opie, Sam or Forest.

    Thanks, Andy, love Jake!

  10. Damn, that song SUCKS!!!!! I agree with CJ's sentiment that it is sad when talented people struggle to get their music made while crap like Foxx's song gets produced.

  11. Odd, sir? What's odd about winding up in the back seat of a car with Jake Gyllenhaal? I wouldn't mind some of that "odd" myself. Thankyouverymuch.

  12. Wow, this is absolutely terrible, terrible music. Seriously, I am so sick of these stupid computerized vocals on crap music like T Payne, Lil John and now Jamie Foxx they all sound the same and it takes absolutely 0 vocal talent to just talk into a microphone and have somebody use pro-tools to give that effect.
