Gallagher is being way too defensive of her poster child - for Prejean to be stripped of her tiara would force NOM to admit they erred in selecting Prejean as their Poster Child!! Prejean will drift into obscurity and take NOM with her!

Oh, ye gay gods, please STOP letting Perez Hilton speak for gay people! He is inarticulate and is fueling the fire of this dumb non-story.
Simply say, it is NOT okay if someone speaks out against civil rights. If Miss CA had said she wants segregation between blacks and whites or that anyone over 70 should be sequestered from others (her free speech opinions, hypothetically), there would be riots.
This public flogging is hurting our community. I'm not sure it's okay that people are "afraid" to speak their opinion.

Maggie is right on one thing... Perez doesn't have a lot of credibility after his tirades.
But Maggie saying "leave Carrie alone"? Where were the histrionics which should have come along with that phrase?

Not sure why it's "hard to believe" this is still on the air. Let's go over the facts, shall we?
1. Perez Hilton and Maggie Gallagher are both insatiable attention whores (as Taodon correctly notes above).
2. Larry King's stock in trade is mindless celebrity-driven crap. And this one has bonus tits involved!
In other words, the only surprise is that this isn't on every freakin' night.
And as for continuing to flog the story, Andy, um..I love ya, but pot, kettle...you know.

I am so conflicted that a gossip blogger who draws private parts on the pictures of public figures is OUR voice on this matter. On the one hand he is a successful self-made business man. On the other hand, he's not very reputable or well-spoken on matters other than salacious commentary.
This debate is painful to watch. Perez is rehearsed and unable to maneuvre the discussion seamlessly while staying on message. He's WAY out of his comfort zone.
The fact that the only talking heads on the pro-gay marriage side of this controversey that I've seen are Perez Hilton & Shana Moakler means that this story has no relevance to the larger issue.

I think it's time for this stupidity to give it a rest... Yes, we don't agree with Prejean, that's fine, but by digging everything up on her and trying to smear her she's being made a into a martyr which is just going to extend her 15 minutes and give her a much bigger platform/audience. It also makes our side look petty and mean. As far as this particular 'debate' went, I thought Perez was an embarrassment and certainly not someone I want claiming to represent me in any way shape or form. The sooner this whole stupidity dies down the better.

I don't get all the Perez hate. He's not that annoying. There are enough serious gays on tv to well out balance him. Alot of people like him and straight women are some of his biggest fans. I think it's great this is still in the media to a certain extent. Keep writing about it Andy. If you don't want to read about it just skip over it. No one is forcing you to click on the link and write and post a comment!!! He's stirring the pot and seeking attention. More gays should. Why should straight people have all the fun and make all the money. LOL! Obama's silence on Don't ask Don't tell is hurting us more then Perez Hilton.
