Rep. Virginia Foxx 'Apologized' to Judy Shepard for 'Hoax' Remarks
North Carolina Congresswoman Virginia Foxx sent a note to Judy Shepard following her remarks during debate of the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act. Foxx said that Matthew Shepard's death was not a hate crime:
"She told WXII that she sent a handwritten note to Jane Shepard, Shepard's mother, saying that 'if I said anything that offended her, I certainly apologize for it and know that she's hurting, and I would never do anything to add to that.' The Matthew Shepard Foundation confirmed that Judy Shepard received Foxx's note, but offered no comment on it. 'We are not commenting any further on Rep. Foxx's remarks on the House floor, or anything that was contained in a letter,' Logan Shepard, the foundation's communications associate, wrote in an e-mail... Foxx declined to say in the WXII interview whether she now considers Shepard's death a hate crime."

I hope God will offer an apology for Foxx's face. Such a disaster!!

The dessicated old hag still believes what she said, so her apology isn't worth a monkey turd. She's just sorry she got called out. Underneath, she still thinks she's right.

"If I said anything to offend her." Typical Republican non-apology. Of course, it takes moral courage to truly apologize.

Yeah, that was a non-apology.

What nasty, stupid old bag.
"If I said anything that offended her, I certainly apologize for it and know that she's hurting, and I would never do anything to add to that."
Actually ho, you would and you DID. What is this "I would never do anything to add to that" crap? Damn, if you're going to believe in your stupid shit at least own it. The fact that she still declines to say whether she thinks his death was a hate crime shows that she pretty much still doesn't but now realizes it will cost her to shrill on and on about it. I hope she dies.

You know she feels the same about Jews, Catholics, Muslims, Blacks or anyone who is not a White Christian. She is a typical bigot who got caught. Fuck her. No, that is to disgusting a thought this early in the day.

She kinda looks like David Paterson in drag.

You know, little old mole-faced ladies have accidents all the time. They fall down stairs, they slip in the shower, they die peacefully in their sleep with pillows over their terror-stricken faces...just sayin'. Kisses Ginny!

"Shepard's mother, saying that 'if I said anything that offended her, I certainly apologize for it and know that she's hurting, and I would never do anything to add to that.'

Andy, what's up with the vid being private?

I love that Judy Shepard has TRULY decided to keep it classy and offer no comment.
And I LOVE that Virginia Foxx continues to invest more and more in that spot reserved for her in hell, should it exist. IF she offended a dead boy's mother? IF?! I mean, she basically said, "Yeah, all that pain you're feeling is pretty much illegitimate and you are lying about how your son died. Stop lying." So much for southern manners. She's a mess.

A contingent apology is not an apology.
Try again, Foxx

Found it elswhere... The fucking bitch only apologized for using the word 'hoax.' That's it. She DID NOT apologize for what she meant about Shepards death not being a hate crime. Therefore her apology is worthless and she's still a bigoted worthless human.
(And to those of you who will call me misogynistic for calling her a bitch, I ask you; If I call a guy an asshole or dick head does that make me a misandronist?)

I'm not a religious person, but if I were, I'd pray for this woman to burst into flames. I'm comforted though; people of her ilk will decrease in number as they die off like the dinosaurs. I relish the fact that we'll have true marriage equality within the next 20 years or sooner. It will be fun to watch people like Foxx squirm knowing they are a dying minority.

How about "I'm a stupid old hate-filled bigot and I apologize for hurting you, which I did so deliberately and with intense, immense malice. I was wrong to go out of my way to cause you personal pain."
Use that apology word for word, Rep. Foxx, or keep your damn mouth shut.

mrs sheppards response should be to campaign against this old hag when the time comes for her re election and make sure the original video and then the follow up video with the pathetic excuse for an apology are pointed out.

'if I said anything that offended her, I certainly apologize for it..."
why is it the victim/recipient of the "attack" that has to decide if they were offended by some hatefull asshats comments? Stupid, just stupid.

Foxx does not need to apologize to Judy Shepard the hypocrite. Foxx is not doing anything different than Judy Shepard has done.

Can someone ask Judy Shepard this question: Why is it that Judy Shepard only will criticize hate-crimes committed by people who are not wealthy? For example, why not criticize the Saudi government? The Saudi government institutionalizes hate against other religious groups and against gays. To be gay in Saudi Arabia you risk arrest, imprisonment, torture and a public beheading. You can't get much more of a perfect example of a hate crime with Saudi Arabia. Yet, Judy Shepard's husband worked as an oil man for the Saudi government and handsome amounts of money. Could this have something to do with Judy Shepard's silence? There seems to be a pattern here with Judy Shepard of hypocrisy. Is this Judy Shepard's message? hate crimes are bad unless you offer lots of cash to Judy Shepard or to someone or something associated with her? Something to ask Judy Shepard at her next public appearance.
Judy Shepard says she is against hate-crimes, but is she really? Certainly those committed against her family, but how about those committed against others? Well the record shows she is not so ill disposed. Shepard says she lives in Saudi Arabia and her husband pulls in good money from the Saudi government in oil. But wait, doesn't the Saudi government commit hate crimes all the time against women (stoning them for talking to men), against non-Muslims (beheading those trying to convert Christianity) and against gays (arresting, torturing, imprisoning and beheading them). Where is Shepard's outrage then? Perhaps Shepard's entire message is this: hate crimes are bad unless the hate crime criminal is loaded with dough to give to you and if this is Judy Shepard's message, then she is a hypocrite.
