  1. Re: Wolff and Gallagher: this is about CIVIL RIGHTS, why is everyone pussy footing around saying this? Wolff should've chewed that woman up for dinner --she made ridiculous point after ridiculous point. Lie after lie. Why on earth don't these on-air GLBT representatives call these lairs out? Jeeze, thank goodness the CNN moderator at least nailed Gallagher on her "don't trust 18 year-olds with the future of our country" quip. Mrs. Gallagher, the 18 year olds ARE the future of our country.

  2. Has anyone ever heard Arianna Huffington address gay issues in ANY way? I've heard her speak scores of times and have read hundreds, if not thousands, of her commentaries on Huffington Post but can honestly say that I don't EVERY remember hearing or reading where she spoke about gay rights or marriage equality.

I'm curious if anyone else has. What are her positions? And if she doesn't speak/write about gay rights, why?

  3. "There are four states that issue marriage licenses for same-sex couples: Massachusetts, Connecticut, Iowa, Vermont, Maine"

Not to be pedantic, but that's 5 states, not 4 :)

  4. Jesus, Mary, & Joseph! Why doesn't he really deck her by saying, "You're a weally weally mean old pooty head!"

If he hadn't been cremated and thrown out to sea, Harvey Milk would be jumping out of his grave.

STOP THE INSANITY OF BEING AFRAID TO BE THOUGHT "NOT NICE"!

STOP TREATING THEOCRATIC THUGS, OUR AMERICAN TALIBAN, LIKE JUST SOMEBODY WITH A DIFFERENT OPINION!!!

STOP EVEN AGREEING TO APPEAR WITH PEOPLE [THEREBY ENABLING A PLATFORM FOR] WHO SPIT LIES AND RELIGION ABOUT A CIVIL RIGHTS ISSUE.

NO FUCKING WONDER NEARLY A CENTURY AFTER THE FIRST ATTEMPT TO START A GAY GROUP IN THE U.S., MORE THAN HALF A CENTURY AFTER MATTACHINE, FORTY YEARS SINCE STONEWALL, 31 YEARS SINCE MILK WAS MURDERED, 11 YEARS SINCE MATTHEW SHEPARD WAS MURDERED AD INFINITUM AD NAUSEUM WE ARE STILL BEGGING FOR CRUMBS.

WE ARE OUR OWN WORST ENEMIES.

Those who don't get how we must, in any format, IMMEDIATELY identify them as BIGOTS still think "Life is fair"; that it's a summer camp fireside sing along with roasted marshmallows where they give out badges for "Sweetest Smile."

These blue monkeys fly from show to show pushing all the hot buttons Americans have been preprogrammed all their lives to respond to.

You can't out "debate" such people on points because she will always make up some new lie or distortion. She doesn't CARE what the truth is. The only benefit of countering with statistics, etc., is to BACK UP what our MAIN points should be

    1. LGBT equality is a CIVIL issue and in this country the religion on one must not be allowed to trump the civil rights of others.

    2. Those who claim it does, who spread lies, distortions, HATE are BIGOTS. Period.

Being "reasonable" or "nice" is like trying to kill a raging bull elephant with a Tic Tac.

I'm sure Wolff has very fresh breath but that's all you can say.

"It's not the Earth the meek inherit it's the dirt." -"Camelot."

  6. I must agree with other comments, GLBT spokesmen are weak, mild, limp wristed in their speaking style. T.W. nor the Hostess comment about Marriage NOT being a Civil Right. WTF? If it's NOT a civil right what is it in the eyes of the State? T.W. should have drawn parallels to other Civil Rights struggles (Women, AA, others), but he does not want to for some reason.

LGBT citizens need some smart hard hitting speakers, not these "feel good" "can't we all get along" types.

  8. Maggie Gallagher needs a life! I am so sick of hearing her speak and yet we continue to provide her a stage. Isn't her 15 minutes up?
