  1. I love Bill Maher and agree with a few of his criticisms of the Obama administration, but I am forced to ask the so many bitterly disappointed already, with 6 months in and a huge crisis befallen the nation - maybe you should have voted for Santa? He gives you exactly what you want.

  4. thank you cbs for not having Anderson Cooper do this interview. Troy Roberts is a great interviewer who gets little credit due to his assignments on 48 hours.

I'd heard that Rosie O'donnell was a closeted racist and after seeing this interview I think it's not true. She doesn't have to go to the intercity of NY. She could be like a lot of Gay people who stay in the safe zone. I have much respect for her now that I've heard a different side.

  5. I have so much respect for Rosie who puts her money where her mouth is. She is changing the lives of so many children in ways I can only dream about. Sunday Morning did her justice. And Troy Roberts is one of the better interviewers at CBS and he's great to look at too.

  6. Rosie is one of my personal heroes for some of the very attributes highlighted in that profile: generous, funny, humble, outspoken, warmhearted, smart, and talented.

She has a lot in common with Bette Midler.

  7. First off, I voted for Obama and I'm glad I did. However, Obama was the one who went out of his way to court the gay vote making speeches and promises that so far have not been met. While I realize that there are issues on the table that affect far more lives than DOMA or DSDT now would be the perfect time to act positively on both for that very reason. If we're going to be expected to wait for a "slow" time it simply isn't going to happen because this country is a nation in crisis with no early exit in sight. Obama is the one who, in interview after interview, said that he realized the importance of the job and that he is up to the task of handling multiple issues at the same time - these two issues would not take much more than the stroke of a pen. If Congress has a problem with either being resolved with executive order than it would suddendly become their problem and I can assure you that they wouldn't be too busy to handle it if they felt strongly enough. I would prefer however that he take no action rather than allow the Dept. of Justice to proceed in the manner in which they are moving - no action is WAY better than the wrong or bad action. And as far as DADT the military is in dire need of qualified able bodies and they are losing many highly gifted people because DADT is still in place.
