Listen: Clip of New Madonna Track 'Celebrate'
Via Matt Rettenmund at Boy Culture comes this snippet of Madonna's new track "Celebrate", which Rettenmund notes is a record made strictly for the clubs. Madonna collaborated with DJ/Producer Paul Oakenfold on the track. It goes to radio August 3.

I love the way gay club music is always so fresh and constantly changing. This doesn't sound anything like a song you would have heard in 1999 or 2005. Yeah, it's the same beats and the same instrument effects and all of the music sounds exactly alike, but did you notice the way she moved the lyrics around? "We're gonna party, yeah"...sometimes lyrics say things like "Let's party" or "Party party party"...but she put "We're gonna" and "Yeah" at the end. So creative. Never gets old.

Just stay at home and let the rest of it enjoy it then, you jaded queens.

It wasn't mindblowing. But that 18 seconds was better than all of Hard Candy.

Love it. Can't wait to hear more!

Yeah, pretty generic. I had high hopes for this track too.

When she does something trendy, we hate her. When she does something familiar, we hate her. When she does something innovative, we want her to make dance music. When she makes dance music, we call her tired and boring.

That 19 seconds needs a remix.

When she didn't do anything for a community that basically created her during Prop 8..we hate her...when she completely ignore our community during prop 8 we hate her...when she made so much money on her last tour but didn't donate any money for to fight for our Rights! we hate her!! YES WE DO HATE THIS BITCH ....

Jake - "we" didn't create her, she created herself. And "we" don't hate her, speak for yourself. You could name most celebs who didn't "publicly" donate money or speak out beforehand but she did speak out after the vote. Does that mean we now hate Celine, Janet, Mariah, Whitney etc etc. M has done more for gays than any other pop singer of her caliber ever in terms of exposure of gay themes into the general public. She isn't always perfect but who is?

"celebrate"? nah. I'd rather yawwwwwn.

Oh, my!
Madge looks to mend what she's ruined with Hard Candy.
To me it sound like the best thing since the Ray of Light!

hahaha so true, 18 seconds were better than all of Hard Candy. I loved it, jaded fucks. Hard Candy revealed to me the meaning of "guilty pleasures". It's so bad! I can't stop listening to it! yay!

It sounds like the same generic Circuit Party music produced by the same (most) American dj's from the past 9 years. It has no ounce of Paul Oakenfold in it, even if his name might be on it.

I love the trance/dance Madonna of Confessions On A Dance Floor era best.
So this is a big return to form, I think, thankfully minus all the phoned in Hard Candy rapping for der kinder.

Count me among the homos who cannot stand the "gay beat" but I will withhold judgement until I can hear the whole thing.
Hate Madonna all you want Jake. She's fucking Madonna. I don't think she gives a shit. Also, she gave 50K (I know, should have been 50 million) and spoke out against prop 8 (I know, she should have had a fistfight with Arnie), so kiss her 50 year-old ass.
Her detractors are never satisfied.

"When she didn't do anything for a community that basically created her during Prop 8..we hate her"
I love Madonna but do you really think MADONNA would help to change the mind of the anti-gay folks? Madonna would just be preaching to the choir. The bible thumpers who hate gays don't like Madonna either.

for fuck sake why does everyone associate madonna with fucking gays..
it aint only gay people who like her you know.......

Love her and love the song!

Absolutely love the 18 seconds and love Madonna. Her haters are as insignificant as dead rats in a sewer. No one cares or knows who they are. All the do is sink and pollute the air. Keep on keeping on, Madge.

Love it!!!

At least it's not "4 Minutes".

Die hard fan but I will never understand why she continuously works with Paul Oakenfold. He's is so generic and blah. Pure euro cheese. I haven't liked even one remix he's ever done for her.

Fantastic. This sounds like a great summer hit. It does sound a bit too much like all that Oakenfold does, but I'll have to wait and see how the rest of the song flows. So far so good.

Years ago, when Madonna decided to pull the original video for American Life and capitulate to the political status quo (i.e. Republicans), she began to disappointment me. Before that, she was experiementing with many idioms, sounds, techniques and posturings. All her releases since then have continued to be incredibly well made and have proven popular but there's something disturbing about a 50+ year old attempting to mimic a Kewpie Doll, sounding like a 16 year old squeezebox debutante. She's capable of much more than this same sounding shit.
