New Claim: Macaulay Culkin the Father of Michael Jackson's Son
UPDATED
Macaulay Culkin is the latest name being tossed about as the biological father to Michael Jackson's son, Blanket.
Via Brit tab The Sun: "Fevered speculation gripped the US after repeated claims that a 'well-known Hollywood actor' donated the sperm for Blanket. Now sources close to Jackson say the Thriller star asked Culkin for the donation to help him complete his 'perfect' family. The source added: 'This isn't just chitter-chatter, even Culkin suspects he's Blanket's father. So many names have been mentioned as prospective dads, and this is probably the wackiest yet. But Jackson and Culkin were best friends. He was one of the few people Jackson really trusted and Mack never let him down. Really, Jackson idolised him - that's why he asked Mack to donate sperm. Deep down, I think he always wished Mack was his son. Creating Blanket was the next best thing.' Culkin - godfather to Jacko's other two children - has told pals he will not comment in public out of loyalty to his late pal."
Can't you just see the resemblance?
UPDATE: Culkin's publicist responds — "The inquiries are too preposterous for us to even acknowledge."

I am very disappointed in Towleroad for running this story. The first time I heard this from a friend this weekend, he was quoting the Drudge Report, and I chastised him for reading such tabloid garbage. It's sad to see Towleroad following the lead of the Drudge Report.
Aside from being tacky, this story furthers the idea that adopted children, children from surrogates, or children from donors are some how not a parent's "real children." I keep hearing people discussing the mystery of Michael Jackson's kids' "real parents," as if (a) it's any of our business and (b) as if Michael's parenting did not make him a father because his genes may or may not have been involved.
This story is unfitting of what I expect to be a progressive, enlightened blog.

I wonder what Michael's best friend Macaulay did to help him. Like all of Micheal's real friends who did very little to help Micheal with his problems and addictions. No one has come forward to say, "I tried for years to convince Michael to get help. It broke my heart. He just wouldn't listen."
The only reason I think the identity of the biological father(s) is important is that Michael claimed for years that he WAS the biological father.
No, whose sperm is not suppose to be important. Parents are who raised you. But Michael kept that can of worms open on his own.

Thank you for running this story. I hadn't heard this theory yet and I'm not sure it hold up. Jon

Kirk, it's of interest because seeing as these children were NOT his biological kids maybe it made him more comfortable with his questionable behavior with children...and we know he loved him his Culkin! Just saying......

They have these things called paternity tests now to resolve such speculation. I'm not sure many people really care though.

This isn't a new story. I even commented on it here around the time Jackson died. I think this claim was made even before Jackson's death.

i myself am adopted, and the fact that so many people care so much who are the biological parents to this child is proposterous! i dont care who my biological donors were...because my adoptive parents are my parents...end of story. It doesnt matter who gave there sperm, or who gave birth, the parents of a child are the ones who take care of the child after birth..not before. Michael was blanket's father and from what has been displayed, blanket was fine without a mother...the only person(s) whom this should be an issue for are Blanket, if he chooses, and the biological parents, if they choose that they want to be involved in his life, and it is nobody else's business!
