Joe is right. 2012 and 2017 ARE small windows when you look at how long our movement has been going. Jesus H. Christ. I love how we sat and got out teeth kicked in for 8 years under Bush and now we throw a tantrum after 8 months. Classic.

Unfortunately, the "Lesbian [who] says she was the victim..." comes across as somewhat naïve and racially insensitive. I didn't see what happened myself and it's too bad there was any ugliness, but something seems not quite right here.
