Stephen Fry to Zoologist: 'You Are Being Shagged by a Rare Parrot'
British actor Stephen Fry and zoologist Mark Carwardine travel to New Zealand to find a rare parrot on the verge of extinction. It's one of the few left of its kind, and it's very horny.
Watch, AFTER THE JUMP...

Kakapo! Hurrah!

If it's so rare shouldn't it be shot and stuff and placed in a museum for all to enjoy?

that was funny. It's too bad these parrots are a dying breed.

Those parrots are so cute! I want one! Please, breed them into captivity now that they are somewhat docile!

More: these parrots are being bred on a few remote islands of New Zealand. Their populations were decimated by, YUP you guessed it, domesticated cats. That's right little Fluffy and Slippers were let out, because their owners thought they would not hurt anything. In fact Fluffy, Slippers, have decimated many ground dwelling bird species.
So cat lovers, if you don't want to help in the decimation of birds, keep your cat inside. NO THEY ARE NOT PART OF THE ECOSYSTEM, they are part of your household.

I think it was the introduction of mammals in general, rats, mice, cats and others as the eco-system had not had these animals in it - thus the birds and insects had taken these roles.
When the Maoris arrived in the 13th century they brought rats and dogs and that continued when the British influx arrived along with Tiddles.
The New Zealand eco-system has not really survived the arrival of human beings since the 13th century.

That's one of the funniest things I've seen!
But if the parrot is trying to mate with something that doesn't even remotely resemble its own kind, perhaps one of the reasons it's going extinct is poor eyesight. lol

I hate cats. This is a good reason why to hate them even more.

I guess Polly wanted more than just a cracker! And, Sargon Bighorn, you've brought up a very interesting point: roaming cats--whether feral or domesticated--are seriously harming the balance of nature and are decimating North America's bird populations. I love cats, but I hate the owners who let their cats out of the house. If your cat is domestic, keep it indoors.
