Just a quick correction - the transsexual Jesus play/protest was actually in Glasgow rather than Edinburgh.

Why on Earth is Towleroad still talking about Pete Wentz?

Last night's South Park was beyond brilliant. But I'm sure the easily offended, cerebrally challenged (paging Bill) will be calling for a Comedy Central boycott any second now.

Last night's southpark was completely boring and totally unbrilliant. The show's over. The only good thing out of this season was cartman's pokerface. They act like this shit is new, and somehow "cutting edge"--it was five years ago controversey, douches!

Right on cue.

The Diocese of Portland gave $149,000 to the anti gay marriage people ? During recessionary times of high un-employment, pople falling back on food stamps, unable to pay rent, heat, medical bills, food banks running out and the Catholic Church gives $149,000 for this ??? The Catholic Church has long disgusted me (a recovering Catholic) for their cover-up of the pedophilia, but somehow this is even more disgusting, that the Catholic Church would rather people go cold and hungry than two men or two women become life partners...a truly digusting organization.

Asking a Xian about the other injunctions in Leviticus you will get absolutely nowhere: their selective blinders are on tight and yet they are completely unaware of them.
Because to become aware means that they will see that some things in the Bible are contradictory, outdated, and simply ignored. And you can't do that with the infallible word of God (TM). So blindly stumbling yet imagining they are upright, they continue on.

According to Judaism the "other injunctions in Leviticus" such as those pertaining to shellfish consumption are meant for Jews only, while laws governing "general morality" are universal.
check out noahide.com for more on this
Christianity takes a similar view: those laws in the Old Testament not grounded in natural law(basically the Noachide laws) ceased to be obligatory-even for Jews, with Christ's redemption.
Just stating what the two religions believe about this.

OMG! Diocese of Providence donated $10K.
When I was an altar boy in Rhode Island serving a Christmas mass with the Bishop, we were given special robes that covered our hands because we couldn't touch the garments or his personal affects - hat, staff (get your mind out of the gutter), Crucifix brooch, etc. I had the flu and wiped my nose on the special hand coverings during the entire mass. I felt really bad at the time; now, I hope he got the flu from me. It's my little bit of solace.

Thanks for the link on the Catholic Church's donations to the "screw gays in Maine" vote. I forwarded it to all of my Catholic relatives with a note telling them this is where their charitable contributions are going this year. Maybe they will find a better place to entrust their charitable dollars over the holidays.

South Park was over years ago. The creators are repubs and have so much fun bashing gays and liberals. They make me sick.
