Michelle Bachmann's Teabagger Rally Creepier Than Halloween
Rachel Maddow points out the cast of characters attending Michelle Bachmann's health care teabagger rally yesterday.
Watch, AFTER THE JUMP...
Writes Dana Milbank in the WaPo:
"Many of the demonstrators chanted 'Weasel Queen,' their pet name for the speaker of the House. Others wore masks of Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.); they were covered in fake blood and carrying dolls representing aborted fetuses, as the Grim Reaper led them in chains to hell. In the front of the protest, a sign showed President Obama in white coat, his face painted to look like the Joker. The sign, visible to the lawmakers as they looked into the cameras, carried a plea to 'Stop Obamunism.' A few steps farther was the guy holding a sign announcing 'Obama takes his orders from the Rothchilds' [sic], accusing Obama of being part of a Jewish plot to introduce the antichrist. But the best of Bachmann's recruits were a few rows into the crowd, holding aloft a pair of 5-by-8-foot banners proclaiming 'National Socialist Healthcare, Dachau, Germany, 1945.' Both banners showed close-up photographs of Holocaust victims, many of them children...Now, objecting to the health-care bill is one thing. But doesn't it send the wrong message for House Republicans to hold an event on the Capitol grounds full of hateful and gruesome words and images?"

These people are a flat out embarrassment to our entire country. I don't know how our own government can be full of idiots like this and at the same time try to tell the rest of the world what to do with a straight face.

No, MT, they are an embarrassment to 58% of the country. To their base, they are doing no wrong, nor ever have.
And they will be back in power soon enough because the Democrats just have no balls to make a change, and they are blowing the wad of equity and empowerment as badly as Bush did following 9/11. Interesting exit polls last week; health care is at the bottom of the list of concerns of voters. I could have told them that.
I laud Washington for the "Separate but equal" ballot that passed. That, folks, was the one right fight for these times. When you polarize the nation by forcing MARRIAGE on the front burner, yes, then you get the wing-nuts oozing out of the cracks in the lull between actual news. Those are the morons that the Bachmans's of this world play to.
And play to very well.
Obama and the Democrats really abandoned us. It's scary to see these hatemongers in the pulpit in the name of News, but you know... that is no longer my fight. Perhaps the Dems and Obama paid me a little more attention, tossed us a bone now and then instead of lip service, I would feel more compelled to defend the majority in power.
Good luck to them. Let me know how that works out.

Rad really is a low level self-serving sack of poop and about as unAmerican as it gets.
RAD - is it all about Gay Rights for you or not .... your comment makes NO SENSE unless both of your personalities wrote it.

Shouldn't they have all been wearing clown costumes? These people are clowns, jokers, and fools.

It was very interesting watching Rep. Boehner on TRMS last night when he was asked about the poster with the stacked bodies from Dachau. He said that he didn't see it and, otherwise, had no comment. Sick. I wonder what Eric Cantor would have said. Actually, somebody should ask him and the rest of the Republican Jewish Coalition....a group that I don't get.

Americans and your wacky brand of democracy provide the best entertainment. Hollywood and Bollywood should take lessons! Alas, the reality of your uninsured US citizenry going bankrupt paying their doctors bills fails to touch these good "Christians". Sad. Sad. Sad.

This is when you know free speech has just been allowed to go too far... when flat out lies and 'hate by association' can go unchecked by members of our own government... and used almost as fact by some of the demented traitors (that is what they are as far as I am concerned!).... Bachmann and all her ilk should be thrown in jail. Their mere existence is enough of a crime, if you ask me!
