More Vintage Lady Gaga, Performing 'Fever', Which Adam Lambert Recorded for His Debut Album
Here's some more vintage Lady Gaga footage, shot in 2006 at The Cutting Room in NYC, shortly after she had signed to Island Def Jam. And shortly after she changed her name to Lady Gaga.
In this clip, she performs the songs "Wonderful" and "Fever". Adam Lambert recorded "Fever" for For Your Entertainment.
"Fever" begins at about 5:38.
Listen to both Gaga and Lambert, AFTER THE JUMP...
Here's Adam Lambert's version:

This should have carried a disclaimer for all those old enough (me!) to start the finger snapping and jazz hands necessary for every Peggy Lee track....oh well.

i'm right there with you Stewart. i was lucky enough to see Miss Lee perform live at the Rainbow Room a couple of times. i have almost all of her records and sheet music.... Madonna covered Fever once also, but the only 'real' recording of this song belongs to the one and only Peggy Lee.... and speaking of La Lee, if anyone has a copy of Mirrors..... mine went missing years ago, and i NEED to hear it again, lol.

God, the Cutting Room! Where most acts died. I'm amazed that ANYONE got a career after playing that place - other than Joan Rivers who is a plastic roach and survives everything. I actually like Gaga but I think if I was in the audience for this, I would have wandered to the bar and picked up some bi German tourists...which seemed to always end up there...
Sex in the City tie-in - This club was owned by Chris "Mr. Big" Noth
And 'Fever' Queens - You didn't actually watch the clip, did you?

Gaga is fun performing the song. Adam's version KILLS, ROCKS, it's incredible. Instantly catchy and I hope it becomes a hit - but who knows if the radio will play a sexual song sung to another guy? Has to be the gayest song ever released on a major label. Good for Adam and RCA.

I truly hope they release this on the radio for Adam because it is really really good. And if they don't it will be a homophobic move. Who gives a shit who he is singing it too this song is fucking awesome. And if the radio plays shit like 50cent(pick any song) and How many licks does it take...don't get me wrong I liked those songs..they were very sexual..It would be pathetic if this wasn't played everywhere - I think It will be a hit if given the chance
