Watch: Coakley's Closer and Nutty Teabaggers for Brown
Martha Coakley's last ad before the special election tomorrow. But will this pep rally be enough? Let's hope so. Also, a nutty bonus clip (via phb) of a teabagger ad for Brown that must be seen to be believed.
Doesn't look good for Democrats. Not good at all.
And a programming note: If you're seeing ads on the site for Scott Brown they're likely contextual Google ads that are nearly impossible to block. Apologies to those of you who've written in expressing your disbelief.

Teabaggers for Brown:

When you have robo-callers like NOM and other reich-wingers making accusations, why, oh why, don't people start asking voters if they want a DEMOCRACY or a THEOCRACY? This is a prime example. The Democrats should have been asking this question to voters. It isn't anything against religion, it is a question of whether you want the freedoms of a Democracy, or the scrutiny of a Theocracy. NOM and the Republican Party are working against Democracy by using the Bible as a weapon to justify their position against our freedoms; in otherwords Theocracy. This is how we need to look at all elections. One day, sit and watch FOX News, without throwing up, and tell me we are not fighting to maintain a Democracy against the reich-wingers. If the Democrats were smart, they would be making Republicans synonymous with Theocracy. That would be a winner!!

"PS Brown = a wake-up call the Dems need, and he's hot to boot. He has my vote."
...
I have a feeling that all the S.Brown-loving gays here are masturbating to his centerfold from 30 years ago. If he looked like Larry Craig would he still have your vote???

@mike in houston,
centerfold? where? what date?
i have to agree with those who say that coakley has pissed this election away: she put her campaign on hold for over a month, at one point; she has not campaigned effectively; and she frankly does not like to be out among the people. she has been largely ineffectual.
my only hope is that the democratic base turns out to rescue her sorry ass.

so, miss bossy boots, you want to support a party that is for freedom and tolerance? which one is that, dear heart? the repugs? ahahaha! twice you used the word boot. is that more than a hint of a fetish?
judging a candidate on his or her knowledge of sports is stupid. plus, you think the repug is hot. i think YOU are the cretin here. you are such a silly sissy.

Teabaggers for Brown have values...quality production values.
That aria in their ad was always one of my favorites. Until now.

As someone who likes Brown and dislikes Coakley (Boo! me, right?), my perspective on why this is happening is that the Democrats aren't paying attention to political realities. For instance, no one on the left seems to be be able to distinguish fiscal from social conservatives, or understand how the word "teabagger" motivates their opponents POSITIVELY. It's like when a hater calls me derogatory words for being gay. It motivates me to speak out, make donations, and definitely not keep quite about my orientation.
So everyone on the internet and especially on television who used the word "teabagger": YOU are the people who did this damage to Coakley. I don't know if Brown will win, but I hope he does.

nice speech

@jason (the commenter)
after 8 yrs, the repugs could not distinguish between social conservatism and rampant defecit spending, could they? the neo-cons started a useless war against iraq, while deregulating the banks. the massive bail-outs of the banks started under bush/cheney. you know that, right?
of course you don't. if i call you an ineffectual, little priss, will that initiate a groundswell of support for ineffectual prissies? or, will it sputter and fail like the flaccid tea-bagger movement? yeah, i think so.

Look, the Democrats take gays for granted. They take a lot of things for granted. If Brown is elected, maybe the Dems will 1) start listening again and 2) moderate their insane leftist policies and move back to the center.
@NIC... you might want to stock up on your Xanax supply, because things aren't going to go very well for your side in the next coming months and years. LOL.

OK. Having spent a few days in the boston area following my time in Maine and having kept up a little bit with this, here are my observations.
While I don't want Browm to win, if Coakley loses it will be her own fault.
Even in the primary, all Coakley has done is played not to lose and has sat on a big fat lead. I actually think that Capuano (?) may have been a better competitor than Coakley.
Coakley and the Democrats took this seat for granted...never mind all the polls prior to that that pointed out that democratic turnout will be waaaaaaay down this year.
If massachusetts votes for Brown, it will be a travesty but...
When you play politics NOT TO LOSE as opposed to playing to WIN, this is what can happen. If Coakley loses this election, it's her own fault for trying to run out the clock.

@Dan,
There is zero logic in voting for an anti-gay candidate over a pro-gay candidate, and claiming it'll help gays.
