Seems like most people, myself included, were convinced that James Cameron and "Avatar" were going to be the big winners at the Academy Awards tonight. Instead, The "Hurt Locker" walked away with six statues including Best Picture and Best Director for Cameron's ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow, the first time a woman has won in that category in the 82-year history of the Oscars. Congrats!
Bad news for Tom Ford's "A Single Man." Colin Firth, who was nominated in the Best Actor category for the film, lost out to Jeff Bridges in "Crazy Heart."
