Ret. General: Gays in Dutch Military Facilitated Bosnian Genocide
At today's hearings regarding "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", Retired General John Sheehan argued that the allowance of gay soldiers in the Dutch military was responsible for the genocide in Srebrenica in 1995.
SHEEHAN: The case in point that I’m referring to was when the Dutch were required to defend Sbrenecia against the Serbs, the battalion was understrength, poorly led. And the Serbs came into town, handcuffed the soldiers to the telephone polls, marched the Muslims off and executed them. That was the largest massacre in Europe since World War II.
LEVIN: And did the Dutch leaders tell you it was because there were gay soldiers there?
SHEEHAN: It was a combination –
LEVIN: Did they tell you that?
SHEEHAN: Yes.
LEVIN: That’s my question.
SHEEHAN: They included that as part of the problem.
LEVIN: That there were gay soldiers among the Dutch force.
SHEEHAN: The combination was the liberalization of the military, the net effect of basically social engineering.
His remarks were rebuked by Senator Carl Levin.

There you go "we gays" to blame for something else that has gone wrong, what next Haiti, Chile.
What is it that is so "threatening" as noted by Australia's opposition leader Tony Abbott about us "gays" but not threatening enough to fight properly? Too butch for life but to nancy-boy for war!
We still got a long way to go and battles to be fought guys before we can relax.

Sheehan's testimony is already causing a bit of an uproar in the Netherlands. Mainly in the form of Dutch MPs calling the U.S. military "stupid" and "idiotic." But this isn't exactly shocking news, is it?

All of this man's service...his sum total of contribution to his country is rendered moot by these remarks. He has no credibility...he's an embarrassment to the uniform he wore and ideals he represented and is failing to try to represent with these lies. And they are lies as dutch military officials don't know what he's talking about, and deny that they ever expressed anything like that to him at any time (and they didn't)...and it's a nonsensical argument (and those official dismissed it as "nonsense"...in fact, the dutch military officials are astonished that a man who achieved his rank could believe and say such things...he's got the mind of a small hateful child. He trivialized his whole life with this testimony...it's so pathetic, it's funny.

We're a bloodthirsty lot! Curling iron in one hand, M 16 in the other, and we'll take on any army. Gay people are out to achieve world domination. Look out, here we come!

So, how do you explain the Israeli army killing the civilians in Gaza last year? Was that gays gone wild? Has anyone checked Sheehan's religious background yet?

I have never heard anything as stupid come from the mouth of a military man and I've heard a lot of stupid things from military people. Whatever side one takes in such a debate this remark still comes across as simply running scared, using any shred of an excuse to prove some point. What that point is by now, does anyone even know? This is worse than kids in the schoolyard. I suppose this fool will make a lot of sense to extreme religious types and bigots. To anyone half sane, he is a loon bucket.

This guy has just done so much additional damage to the reputation of the US (if that's possible). The European press is all over this story as an example of how stupid Americans are. And who can say they're wrong? This guy was the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO in the Atlantic region. How do you get to such a senior position with the level of intellect that this guy displays?

This guy is stoopid.

How many self reported Christians, Caucasians etc were in that troop? Do they represent all of there respective groups?

How did this fruitcake get to be a senior officer in the US military? I suppose gays were responsible for the sack of Rome, the bubonic plague and climate change too? History will judge him not by anything useful he may have done as a soldier but now by the vulgar prejudices of an embittered old man. I'm not sure whether I should laugh at him or pitty him.

This line of thinking can be carried out to every failure the armed forces of America has had... because there were some gays in the unit....shit this general's elevator does not go to the 2ond floor. But then thats how they are promoted...dumb-ass

i like this Senator Levin.......and this military man doesn't seem to have a clue.....and his calumny of the brave Dutch soldiers who served in Bosnia is disgraceful.
Are we gays somewhere below categories 4 & 5 ? Are we "untermenschen" after all ?
OK, now I'm going nuclear.
Posted by: JackFknTwist | Mar 19, 2010 2:38:27 PM
Shame on him for using the Srebrenica massacre to score political points. I suppose his testimony might be thought of as "swift boat for the gays" because that's exactly what his intentions are.
He has no shame. Piece of shit.

The 8000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys were killed by CHRISTIAN Serbs, but let's try to blame Dutch gays. What an idiot!
