Three Men Get Hate Crime Indictment for Anti-Gay Chicago Attack
In late February, I reported that three Evanston men, Sean Little, Benjamin Eder, and Kevin McAndrew, were arrested and charged with felony hate crimes for a January attack on Daniel Hauff, who had come to the aid of a gay youth who was being harassed on the Chicago "L" train. The three men then began beating Hauff, calling him a "stupid faggot". Hauff said he escaped by wiping some of his blood on the attackers and telling them he was HIV-positive.
Yesterday the three were indicted: "On Wednesday, the three men were each indicted on one count of hate crime and two counts of aggravated battery, according to Cook County State's Attorney's office spokesman Andy Conklin. The men will appear for arraignment on March 26."
The men face a maximum of five years in prison if convicted.

Good let's see that they do in fact get time in prison, whether through Ill. hate crimes or federal hate crimes statutes! Then they can see what it's like to be THE "Faggot" when their getting their asses/throats ripped apart by a nice welcoming committee of say 10 or 12 of their cellmates......

Let's also see that the "Victim" Daniel Hauff receives some community support for his bravery in coming to the aid of the young victim.. Has any group locally or nationally done anything to honor or support Daniel?
Thank you Daniel for your humanity and bravery for standing up to these thugs!

They deserve the same treatment they gave.
Let the boys at the Eagle have them!
They are kind of ugly though... Maby they should be sent to the back 40 at the Manhandler on Clark or the 2nd floor of the Bijou during IML week instead.

Really people, rape jokes? Rape isn't ever funny even if you don't like the victims.

I have to agree. Rape jokes, really? We're better than this (or at least I thought we were) No one ever deserves to be raped. EVER.

Why are you worried about rape jokes? THAT'S what you want to comment on? Have you ever gotten the shit kicked out of you by thugs and homophobes? Get your priorities "straight," idiots.
Kudos for Mr. Hauff. If gays stood up for each other like ethnic minorities, maybe we wouldn't get picked on so fucking much.

Enjoy prison thugs! OH! and that incident will follow you for the rest of your life and will always be attached to your name, reputation and sheet. Knowing none of you will ever amount to anything in life and will essentially just float in this world until death puts a smile on my face. Karma exists and it's beautiful!
