About the Banner #40
So many of you have written me asking about the origin of the last banner on the site. I used to write about the past banners on a regular basis, but as things got busy that lapsed. So, I promise to start doing it again, right now.
The banner that was up for the last month or so was a photograph I took of some wallpaper outside the dressing room at Barney's Coop in Miami Beach. I had no idea who the artist behind the silhouette portraits and clever descriptors was until he contacted me.

Above is the full shot of the wall from which I took the banner. I thought it was pretty great. Turns out the work is done by an artist named Carter Kustera, who kindly let me continue using it.

Thanks, Andy, for sharing this info. When I noticed the banner had changed I thought "now I'll never know what it was." Of course, I could have been industrious and just asked you. Duh.

I am so thrilled that Andy is bringing this topic back. My search queries were not bringing up any of the recent banner descriptions! It's one of my favorite features on the site.

So - is the wallpaper exclusively for Barney's Coop or is it available for purchase somewhere? I've searched all of the websites you listed plus ORE and come up empty. I really just love that wallpaper.

So, Andy, are you ever going to tell us about the banner from maybe a year ago that was of a male reading a book? I just want to know if he's 5 or 20---very hard to tell. I still see it every day because that was the banner when I first installed Chrome, and it saved that screen shot.

Not sure about where the wallpaper is sold. You could probably email Carter at his website and ask him...
