  3. Was that DC Agenda piece a news article, or an op-ed? It seemed to be a bit of both, with Naff (the author) sprinkling in his own feelings about the issues raised in between the newsy bits. I'm confused. Can't wait to download Cyndi's latest, tho'.

  5. John : Interesting. I know that type of "pederasty" was popular in medieval Arab times (as in other places) it's just not right. Too young. And too much taking advantage of boys in dire circumstances. I guess I'm stating the obvious.

  8. JT:Sadly it is commonplace. My friend is not party to these acts but it is one of those "not discussed" everyday acts of cruelty that is as with all issues such as this a matter of power & wealth,or in the case of the innocent, lack of.

  9. Time to get new friends, john. You realize that those who you hang with are you, right? Always judge a man by the company he keeps.

  10. Re: Dublin news... while the Irish Times article profiled and waxes lyrical about the 25th anniversary of the gay pub, 'The George', it completely omits serveral historical landmarks and venues. In particular, it again neglects venues for (JJ Smyth's) and histories of women, ditto older 'known to be sort of homo' establishments, and forgetting the gay sauna that was not run by the owner of The George. I'm somewhat appalled that the newspaper of record should publish a 'review' that is somewhat selective on Ireland's gay past. You'd think there were no lesbians in Ireland!

It wasn't 100% grey before we all because respectable with the law on decriminalisation in 1993. People may have left Ireland because they were LGBT, but many stayed and thrived even if we weren't equal citizens of the Irish State. Sometimes, as my boyf* puts it, there's something to be said for the privilege of the ignored... we were left to our own devices then, whereas now we are about to be licenced like dogs in the name of equality!

  11. sorry... that should be 'became respectable'!

  12. The Bacha Bazi empire needs to be exposed for its child endangerment-fractured infrastructure be damned-these are crimes against humanity. Where is UNESCO in all this? Don't get me started on their I-sleep-with-boys-but-I'm-not-gay mental disorder.

  13. A secret space mission is America trying to antagonize other countries? If Iran or China had done this everyone would be flipping their shit.
