RoadNOM denies report that it endorsed openly gay Republican House candidate Eric Sturn. Sturn: "Perhaps they should endorse my opponent. In his first year as Speaker, Gordon Fox has blocked legislation aimed at legalizing both same-sex marriage and civil unions. Despite his assurances that he would allow an equal marriage bill to come before the next session, actions speak louder than words. He didn’t think it was important enough of an issue to debate and vote on in his first session as speaker. He should tell that to the thousands of Rhode Islanders being denied equal rights under the law. Gordon may be gay, but he really hasn’t been there for the LGBT community. When I’m elected, I will fight to get an equal marriage bill passed as soon as possible."

  1. That post about "what if the world stopped spinning" would be the least of anyone's problems. One side of the earth would become unbearably hot and in constant sunlight - all plant life would die. The other half would become incredibly cold - all plant life would die. The only inhabitable areas would be thin slivers where the sun sat perpetually on the horizon.

Barney Frank is a detestable waste of human flesh. I wish I could be at St. Peter's gate when Frank shows up and learns that all he was in this world was a pain in everyone's neck.

Is James Ready running a male prostitution ring out of Bwaney's basement? If so maybe he can give Bwaney a senior discount on an evening with a fairy.

What a funny story. Frank should have asked for a discount on the basis that it involved a "ferry."

Would calling the Congressman a "blowhard" be considered a homop;hobic remark?

  3. No surprise at the bigoted comments at the NY Post, Rupert Murdoch's tacky tabloid rag.

  4. I'd use the senior discount. It's perhaps good thing about being a senior...well, aside from death...that's a good thing when you're that old.

    I love ansel adams.

  6. Love your site, Mr. Towleroad, but a wee thought: Would it be possible to put captions on photos? Sometimes, they're obvious (Adams) but sometimes they are decidedly not (Pratt).

  7. @Chris, is it so hard to understand that photos and their related text are always top-aligned?
