Watch: Maggie Gallagher Slams Prop 8 Judge's 'Judicial Activism'

Maggie_gallagher

NOM Tour Tracker's Arisha Michelle Hatch caught up with Maggie Gallagher in Charleston, WV, where she popped in to make an appearance at the National Organization for Marriage's hate-a-palooza rally, and had a long conversation about Judge Walker.

Watch, AFTER THE JUMP...

Apparently there were only 18 NOM supporters at the Charleston rally.

And to refresh your memory, here's Maggie's appearance on CNN immediately after the ruling:

  2. Proverbs 23:2 proclaims, “Put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.

When will these folks start taking their bibles seriously?!

  5. The term "judicial activism" is completely meaningless, and boils down to a derogatory label used to describe a judge who renders a decision that the person how makes it disagrees with. It has no basis in the constitution, jurisprudence, or law.

It's like fiscal conservative (or any political party)...ultimately meaningless, but conceptually useful.

This vile, ugly bigot is on the wrong side of history and the wellbeing of the american people. No kiddin', right?

  6. This is what you do when you fear that you won't be able to fly in first class (or private jets) and stay in five star hotels.

Beg like a junkie for money and tell more lies...she and her ilk are getting desperate.

  8. NOM Tour Trackers seem to have endless patience for horseshit lies. Just watching this video got me all tense - I can't believe they're able to deal with these people live.

  11. I can understand not agreeing with marriage equality perhaps, but to go around the country with this merry band of fools preaching bigotry to all really takes a warped mind. Could our psychologists chime in with a diagnosis?

  12. Regardless of her appearance, this is the ugliest woman I've ever seen.

  13. I'm sure maggie isn't happy with the CNN poll that shows people are all supporting gay marriage. Here's something she'll understand: oink oink oink

  14. She really needs to sign up for Jenny Craig. If they'd even let such an ugly person try their course...

  15. This poor woman really isn't very bright. I'm sure she loves the attention, but some day soon she's going to realize that most folks in the US are laughing AT her. If she had any real friends they would tell her to go home and shut up.

  16. Hey, MagGag... I hope you have Anita Bryant on speed-dial, cuz you gals are going to have a lot to talk about.

Aside- can someone get at her expenses/payroll... it must be staggering. She's been hooked up with Mormons, etc for years now.

  17. Can someone take the recent American Bar Association resolution and shove it in Maggie & Brian's faces for comment?

  18. And... just to be nasty.... is there something wrong with her ears?

She's always got that naff dutch-boy haircut covering them up.

  19. The same thing that happened to McCarthy is going to happen to this fat cow.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_McCarthy

After his censure, McCarthy continued senatorial duties for another two and a half years, but his career as a major public figure had been unmistakably ruined. His colleagues in the Senate avoided him; his speeches on the Senate floor were delivered to a near-empty chamber or were received with conspicuous displays of inattention.[99] The press that had once recorded his every public statement now ignored him, and outside speaking engagements dwindled almost to nothing. President Eisenhower, free of McCarthy's political intimidation, quipped to his Cabinet that McCarthyism was now "McCarthywasm."

McCarthy's biographers agree that he was a changed man after the censure; declining both physically and emotionally, he became a "pale ghost of his former self" in the words of Fred J. Cook"

  20. She should be asked,do you have a HUSBAND?

Isn't a child better with a mom and a dad?

Why are you a SINGLE mom?

    Posted by: FunMe | Aug 11, 2010 8:41:52 PM

  21. @FUNME she's married now.

Probably roped in some mail-order husband to look after her kids while she's off being a negligent mother on her important tour.

  22. I saw this a while ago, and I thought Anderson did a great job of pushing her, exposing her bigotry, and nonsense - and really showed restraint by not saying F*** You. Even though his "bias" shows a little, I thought this was one of his best moments - he really pressed her to make sense.

I'm really tired of trying to educate people like her about fairness and the constitution. And I'm tired of calling her a cunt. I just wish Maggie and her ilk would go away and never return.

  23. She is just ugly inside and out. And a very sloppy thinker to boot.

  24. Marriage was always a legal construct that got co-opted by religion.

    Posted by: Rucka | Aug 11, 2010 9:39:34 PM

  25. Oh yeah he's an activist judge alright. Being initially floated by Reagan, but not confirmed because of Nancy Pelosi. Finally becoming a judge under George H.W. Bush. There's also that tiny tidbit about his sexual orientation never being confirmed by him. It is only an "open secret" from a singular story in the San Francisco Chronicle. I guess much in the same way that it's an "open secret" that somehow Lindsey Graham is allegedy 'straight.' Yeah real activist there.
