Watch: Sarah Palin Trashes Obama's State of the Union Speech

Palin

In her first interview since the "blood libel" debacle, Sarah Palin popped up on Greta van Susteren's FOX News show to debut a new acronym, calling Obama's 'Winning the Future' State of the Union speech his 'WTF' speech.

Palin praises Ryan and Bachmann's response. Why? "They were sound because they were in opposition to president Obama's message."

Palin also told Greta that the conflict within the GOP over the Tea Party is one of the reasons she loves the Republican party:

"We believe in competition even within our own party! We don't have just the fighting instincts of a bunch of sheep like I think a lot of Democrats do. Instead, we can duke it out in that marketplace of ideas within our own party and we can have individuals and individual character traits within politicians being able to be made manifest in the way that we express our views..."

WTF indeed!

Watch, AFTER THE JUMP...

  1. I blame McCain for unleashing this horror show of a woman on the American people.

  2. Teabagger Palin + Faux News = the WTF network. They are a perfect match for a fake news organization that attracts the lowest common denominator of citizenry to its ridiculous programming. Honestly, parent company News Corp. should change the name of its cable channel to "The Repuggie Channel": we promote Repuggie BS 24/7.

  3. They say you get the face you deserve as you get older, the bitterness is starting to show in hers now. Jealousy is simply eating her alive and she has lost the last shred of dignity she might have had (although for an inbred feral cavewoman there wasn't a lot to start with). This cretin is tiresome, I wish we could return to the days of the stocks where we could stick the village idiot in them and pelt them with rotten tomatoes, now we just give them a show on Fox news and a new wardrobe.

  4. McCain and his advisors in the presidential campaign do indeed have a lot to answer for, bringing this vile woman to prominence... this woman is poison to decency, whatever she touches turns to wilted. She has the most bizarrely exaggerated notion of her own value...The sooner she crawls back under that Wasilla rock, the better! Every fiber of my body is disgusted by this hideous woman!

  5. To be fair Talking Points Memo hit the WTF button while live blogging the SOTUA.

"9:37 PM: For sake of clarity, I will from now on abbreviate 'win the future' as WTF."

Once again Mrs. Palin is late to the party and this time she stole someone else's gift and tried to offer it up as her own.

  6. Seriously can we just STOP paying attention to this idiot? The media just needs to stop writing articles and blog entries about her because that's what is putting fuel in her mouth. The more outlets and attention she gets, the more she'll spit out her nonsense vitriol to the masses. I am so sick of looking and listening to her voice. Let her say her crap on Fox News...only idiots watch that garbage of a network.

  8. The problem with what Sarah Plain is saying is not her WTF comment. It's her complete lack of understanding of history and politics.

The Soviet Union won the space race?

The Soviet Union collapsed, 22 years later, because of debt from the 'winning' the space race?

I am not sure what version of history is being taught in Alaska but I am sure Neil Armstrong might want to have a chat with her.

And for someone idolizes Reagan so much, maybe she should spend sometime reading about how Reagan won the Cold War. Hint, Reagan outspent the Soviets.

  9. Is there any reason to post this clip? Honestly, we are going to have to live with her so long as people keep posting and linking to every stupid comment she says. It's just a Fox News clip. Let it live - and die - there.

  10. >a marketplace of ideas
    >the Republican Party

    Pick one.

  11. I note that Palin, Bachman, the rest of the right wing shrews bunch have the kind of body language and look in the eyes I used to find scary when I had to listen to people talking about the need to murder abortion providers.
Are great numbers of Americans completely insensitive to these cue that we are seeing and hearing seriously deranged women?

  12. And here's me thinking that she'd finally gone away for good. Can't watch the video as I dislike GVS almost as much at The Palin.

  13. Oh I don't know. I wouldn't say our Dem leadership has the fighting instincts of sheep. They fight really hard and effectively for the things they really want. Like handouts to the oil industry. Like bailouts for banks.

It's just a shame they won't fight for (or just don't want) success for the middle and working classes. This new Gilded Age is going to end someday, and when it does, the parties that enabled it are going to get thrashed at the polls for generations. And it's a shame that our Dem leadership doesn't get that either.

  14. WTF? Proving her presidential bona fides yet again...

  15. Palin is done! There is NO WAY she can survive that train wreck of defending the situation after Rep. Gifford had a bullet through her head. No Way!

  16. Goddamn, I am sick of hearing about, seeing, reading and otherwise KNOWING this woman exists. ENOUGH ALREADY!!!

  17. I thought we were ignoring this wench?

  18. She is Not a governor!!
Of course she trashed it and him down, but she had no credit to do it.

    Posted by: Matt26 | Jan 27, 2011 10:21:36 AM

  19. No, I will not watch. The woman is a hateful harpy, drunk on her own perceived self-importance. If no one paid her any attention she would sink back into the cesspit she emerged from.

  20. Yeah, but Palin is right that Democrats are sheep afraid to fight. Let's be honest about things. When it comes to fighting for progressive/Democratic principles, many Democrats just don't have the will, desire, or ability to slug it out like Republicans do.

Democrats give up before the fight has begun or in the middle.

And, that's a shame because progressive ideas are the best.

  21. her half-term speech was her resignation. Alaska is still sighing breaths of relief.

What is that woman wearing? A space suit? Back from a night out at the Wasilla swingers' club?

  22. @Paul: That's really interesting. Who lives by the sword dies by it. A lot of media people don't seem to get that by 2012, Palin's actual physical image is going to be so horrifyingly different from what interested the public about her that she'll repel the masses. She's already a scary scolding nanny trying to pass herself of as a babe. Have you noticed she looks increasingly like that crazy high-school teacher in Donnie Darko?

  23. the more the wenches of the teaparty speak out the more they show their ignorance. letting bachmann speak out on the sou and having palin defend her speech the crazier these people look and act. palin going to have to use some of her book money for some plastic work. not aging real well maybe headed to an early grave
soon please. bet she saw sputnik launched from her front window.

  24. Good old 'Ballon Head', thank you Chris Matthews for that one, is at it again. At this point it's clear that everyone know she's a nut job, except if you are a Tea Bagger, which in turn makes you a nut job as well.

  25. "...the marketplace of ideas..."

the place where politicians go to purchase and where lobbyists go to sell their deeply held moral and religious belief systems that they then try to impose on the citizens they govern
