  2. Bravo to Sean Chapin. Aside from the fact that marriage is NOT about raising children, these NOM asshats are saying that the only important factor in giving a child a good home is that the parents are male and female. Doesn't matter if they are bad parents, beat or sexually abuse the kids, drink too much, leave loaded guns around the house, fill the kids' minds with hate and stupidity, forget to feed and bathe them or lock them in a closet. As long as there is a mom and dad all is right with the world.

  3. So why is it so important that we have to "help ensure that as many children as possible are raised by a mom and a dad"????

Answer NOM, why? What's the significance of being raised by a mom and a dad? What about orphans? What about children being raised by single parent? Why don't you find ways to ensure that those children are raised by a mom and a dad as well?

Stop it with all this bigotry, Maggie! Just admit that you are doing it for the money because you know there are always homophobic, mean-spirited and ignorant people out there who are willing to buy what you are selling! Ever heard of karma? Just think about it, in 10 years time, when you are sitting in your home contemplating about the things that you have accomplished in your life, do you really want to know that all you have done is to try to tear families apart and to make people's lives miserable? Will you be at peace that everything you have done is filled with hatred and cruelty.
I said try because let's face it, both you and I know that in 10 years time (possibly much sooner), gay marriage WILL be the law of the land whether you like it or not.

  4. I'm sure Chafee wears this as a badge of pride, frankly.

  5. The assertion that more kids "need" to be raised by a mom and a dad is just another way for NOM to say "people need to be just like us". Obviously, only NOM folks would think that EVERYONE has to be like them.
