  3. Wouldn't it make more sense for gay-related clothing to be sold at Banana Republic?

Courtney Love criticizing anyone on anything is laughable, but their appearance? Also, the suggestion that gays don't know how to dress women is patently absurd. If she had never been lucky enough to get Kurt Cobain's money, we'd never have heard from her ever again. What a pity for us.

  6. Courney Love maybe be a freaky drug ruined old hag, but she is right on this to a degree. Gay men DO turn women into sexless boy-like creatures when they get a chance or freakish looking objects. They do anything but make them look sexually attractive. Look at the fashion industry. Super models are not sexy, judging by the reaction they get from my straight male friends. They are 6 foot tall 12 year old boys in dresses. Its not so much that they cant dress women, its that they specifically use these thin curveless pre-pubescent looking twigs.

  8. The story in Palm Springs is so representative of the type of people who commit hate crimes. Trashy, low class, stupid individuals.

  9. Dear Courtney,

You are a skank. A junkie skank. So, re: Lady Gaga, STFU.

  10. Regarding the Palm Spring incident:

....Their 4 year old child? She's now 19, he's 24? Do the math. Was Mr. Bates ever charged with rape or statutory rape for being a 20 year old man banging a 15 year old girl? Assuming Mr. Bates is the daddy.

  13. As many know, fashion is a form of art, art a form of symbolism, and symbolism a means of expression. These are all inter-related facets and fundamental to one another. Much of this, in the end, is rooted in tradition, as tradition is another means of expression and symbolism.

  14. Fashion designers aren't catering to straight men. They're catering to women, and for decades women have been told that they have to be stick thin to be considered attractive. That's wrong, of course, but women with the money to afford truly high-end fashion often are a size 2 or even 0. (Though I must admit that I don't understand women's sizes, because I've known quite a few size 2s or 0s who had very large breasts.)

Similarly, Gaga isn't trying to be a standard feminine sex object, which Courtney Love of all people should recognize. Gaga is doing it because she considers it art. Whether she succeeds is a matter of opinion. To me she seems about as far from Barbie as a woman could get, so per usual Courtney is just trying to get press by attacking someone more successful.
