Michele Bachmann's 'Satanic' Lesbian Stepsister at Obama's Inauguration: VIDEO

Earlier this week, some audio received attention of Michele Bachmann talking about homosexuality, LGBT people, and her "sad" openly gay family member at the National Education Leadership Conference in 2004.

Said Bachmann:

Lafave "I am not here bashing people who are homosexuals, who are lesbians, who are bisexual, who are transgendered. We need to have profound compassion for the people who are dealing with the very real issue of sexual dysfunction in their life, and sexual identity disorders. This is a very real issue. It’s not funny, it’s sad. Any of you who have members of your family that are in the lifestyle—we have a member of our family that is. This is not funny. It’s a very sad life. It’s part of Satan, I think, to say this is gay. It’s anything but gay."

Salon.com's Natasha Lennard this week posted video of Bachmann's out lesbian stepsister Helen LaFave (with with her long-term partner Nia Wronski) - at Obama's inauguration talking about how meaningful it was.

  1. Dear tlrd,
You've been very good in posting vids that play on iPhones but now there are 2 in a row that don't.
    Thanks.
    Mike

  2. They seem like good people. I just don't get it. With relatives like that, why on Earth is Michele's favorite gay her husband Marcus?

  3. I agree, they seem like nice folks. They don't seem like the sad characters that Lady MacBachmann made them out to be, but I guess people like that just see what they want to see.

  4. They seem nice people. Hard to imagine MB is a stepsister to one of them.

  5. Dear Mike,

    Get a better phone!..

Im thankful i have no right wing bigots in my family, but to have one put down who you are, publicly, all the time must be sickening.

  6. It's Friday, it's beautiful out. It's summer. Let's just enjoy life.
Here is what this whack-job meant to say:

"I am not here bashing people who are christianist, who are intolerant, who use religion to oppress others. We need to have compassion for the people who are dealing with the very real issues of bigotry and profound ignorance in their life. This is a very real issue. It’s not funny, it’s sad. Any of you who have members of your family that are in the lifestyle—we have a member of our family that is. This is not funny. It’s a very sad life. It’s part of Satan, I think, to say that hate and oppression are honorable values for which christians should be proud."

  8. Hey, Mike Savage or someone else..Now's the time to get all our gay community members to post videos about their happy, well adjusted, meaningful lives and how we as individuals and as a community have made and continue to make significant contributions to society here in the US and around the world - proof of how we are not "barbarians". Doing so would take the "It Gets Better" project one step further. Drown her and her kind out with tangible evidence, something she cannot produce. Any thoughts on what to call it?

  9. Conspiracy theory: If MB gave her "Satanic" stepsister and stepsister's partner tickets to the inauguration, she was purposefully hoping that they would unleash their demonic powers on the new President that day, making him a ONE-DAY, not just a ONE-TERM, president...

What are these Satanic powers, you ask?
    1) Gift certificates for the whole Obama family...to HOME DEPOT! BWAH HAHAHA!
    2) Distracting the new Commander-in-Chief by wearing corduroy of multiple thicknesses! WICKED! (That one worked, recall the President flubbing his lines when taking the oath of office.)
    3) Using the four other tickets to bring half of their brood of cats to the event, and then using them to menace the crowd with purring and unwelcome nuzzling against their shins! EVIL!
    4) And never forget: the Power of the Scissor, the fame of whose mischief shall make all Carthage flame!

  10. Bummer. I was really hoping sis was going to show up with twin cordless drills blazing.

  11. Hm. They seem like just a regular pair of nice middle-aged ladies who are happy with the new president. Not pushing anything in anybody's face. Poor Michelle. She has two nice relatives there. Why can't she just enjoy knowing them, I'd like to know?

  12. They seem perfectly harmless.

  13. Michele Bachmann and her husband are both very far out. Not good for the U.S. She is running on her own “gay agenda” platform. We are closing schools, laying people off. Family’s are being foreclosed on and being put out in the streets. And all this Republican running for President and her husband can do is talk about is “praying away the gay”. It is a good money maker for her, but we have bigger things to do, and I am hopping God has to. If you or your church has the gay agenda on your mind, all the time you may need to set down and talk with someone. We need to start looking at what is best for the country. Not our own religion’s views, that blow in the wind.
