We were on break on the set of How I Met Your Mother, and Jason Segel was Google Imaging me to find that one shot of me on a unicorn. Instead, he happened upon a picture of me holding a double-barrel shotgun. I don't even remember when…anyway, he showed it to Allyson Hannigan, and she said, 'Hey, it's a homo with a shotgun!' I guess she had just seen the trailer for [the Rutger Hauer film] Hobo with a Shotgun, and thought it was a cute riff. Next thing I know, somebody from Dimension [Films] is on the phone, and we're getting $20 million in funding from the State of New York to develop the picture. Amazing."

RoadQVC cancels Jane Fonda appearance after pressure from groups opposed to her Vietnam anti-war stance: "I was to have been on QVC today to introduce my book, “Prime Time,” about aging and the life cycle. The network said they got a lot of calls yesterday criticizing me for my opposition to the Vietnam War and threatening to boycott the show if I was allowed to appear. I am, to say the least, deeply disappointed that QVC caved to this kind of insane pressure by some well funded and organized political extremist groups. And that they did it without talking to me first. I have never shied away from talking about this as I have nothing to hide…Bottom line, this has gone on far too long, this spreading of lies about me! None of it is true. NONE OF IT! I love my country….."

PS some whistling while walking past the graveyard humor

I wonder if the Murdoch limo is blaring “let the bodies hit the floor” song through its speakers

2 bodies so far and probably more to follow when a multi billion dollar international company’s head is on the chopping block along with a prime minister’s

I find it unbelievable that QVC would cancel Jane Fonda’s appearance over some complaints about her opposition to Vietnam war. It’s been almost 40 f-ing years since the war ended. Don’t you think it’s time to move on, people?

I am so frigging upset and angry by this news. Not because I am shocked but that they would literally kill off people so quickly.

This is no news. This is why Rebekha has been his darling. Evil fuckers.

Jane Fonda was one of the best known movie stars who helped our gay community in it’s fight against Anita Bryant nationally. In May of 1977, she came to San Francisco for a fund raiser at Oil Can Harry’s against Bryant. I was able to get her to wear a T-shirt that I created “ANITA BRYANT’S HUSBAND IS A HOMO SAPIAN! The story was picked up by the Associated Press.
