  1. Does the machine dispense balsamic vinegar and olive oil too?

  3. They need a butter dispenser a la soft ice cream.

  4. Never have understood the French attraction to hard, crusty bread. It is fine for dipping in soup (its original purpose), but awful for making sandwiches or for any other purpose.

  5. And subway still can't make bread that does not taste like styrafoam. Oh, and crusty bread makes the BEST sandwitches!

  6. It is also superb for bread pudding! But you have to let it go stale first.

  7. Hey, you never know, some nights you want something long and hard to wrap your mouth around ... ? ... ! ... um, we were talking about baguettes, right? Ah, yeah those too.

  8. I'd be impressed if it had a slice-on-demand function. And a keypad to specify how many centimeters you want (unsliced), or how many slices and how thick you want them. And a crouton option.

Get some German engineers to improve it.

  9. Ah these machines will be the end of me and any social life, nothing like a warm fresh French Baguette. Especially at 12am while watching Golden Girls.

  11. To the person says that French bread is for dipping into food: wrong. Pain is a national obsession. These machines are for Sunday when their beloved bread is unavailable.
