Google Celebrates Freddie Mercury's 65th Birthday with Sparkly Animated Doodle: VIDEO

Today would have been Freddie Mercury's 65th birthday, and Google is celebrating it with their second-longest animated doodle ever. Because it conflicts with Labor Day in the U.S., the doodle is appearing internationally today and domestically on Tuesday.

Check out the doodle, plus a "making of" video, AFTER THE JUMP...

  2. I've lost much faith in google as they decided to broadcast the GOP debate via youtube coming up.

  4. I want to disagree with you Max. Just because they are Republicans doesn't mean they don't deserve to speak or be broadcast. Otherwise, Google would be no better than most of those conservative people who do not want to hear any of us speak or be represented. Besides, the more people that hear their bad opinions the less they will be viewed in a positive light.

  7. I wasn't aware that Freddie Mercury was a Parsi and born in Zanzibar. There aren't many Parsi left, perhaps 100,000 and mostly in Mumbai and Gujarat.
