Director Dominic Poliquin produced this short film based on Canadian history PSAs. It's not really running there as a 'Canadian Heritage Minute' but it should be.

Seems like that ring is on the wrong hand ?

I so want to move there. Any Canadians wanting to marry someone into Canada? I can cook, clean, do laundry, and I'm pretty smart too.
Leave your applications somewhere here.

It's a European thing -- you put the ring on your right hand to show that you're engaged, then move it to the left hand once you're married.

Very well made.
@Tom, some parts of Europe.

That was beautiful (and those guys were both hot).

The barbwire fence is hilarious, a subtile dig at les deux solitudes.

That was wonderful!! and those guys were both definitely HOT!!!!!!!!

Nice effort but what's with the barbwire fence??? There is no fence between Ontario and Québec! I go between Ontario and Québec all the time.
It's the same bloody country for god sake.
The fence kind of offends me to be honest.

Yikes, that was full on cheeze.

You're offended by the fence? Offended? I've lived in Ontario and Quebec and while the fence isn't literal, it's there.

@ Ger, Jonny ne comprend pas la blague.

That was cute

I see the fence as a reminder of what we go through to be with the one we love.

I think it's a park or reserve fence, not a border control.

I don't think it matters which hand the ring goes on, particularly for the nonreligious. Many people use left, but I prefer right. According to Wikipedia, some Orthodox Christians, and Indians (in India, that is) also place it on the right hand.

Very good written article. It will be supportive to everyone who employess it,

There are many reasons why Canada is a great country. The fact that an RCMP officer can legally marry his partner, who's in the military, is just one of them.

My friends, Canada is also dealing with the backlash of Equality from the simple-minded scum of our country - please read this and feel free to write to the National Post. This article is a galling, offensive and lowest common denominator-pandering piece of filth:
