Three Mind-Blowing Holiday Light Displays: VIDEO

Lights

So, the holiday light displays are pouring in on YouTube. Here are three of the most impressive that have come across my screen.

This first setup, in Fountain Valley, California "consists of 54,020 LEDs (220 StellaGreen strings controlled by 15 StellaScapes E16-II controllers), programmed to dance to the music via MADRIX Ultimate running on a custom built Core i5-760 @ 2.8GHz w/ 8GB of RAM."

The second is a dubstep creation of 35,000 LEDs from  Meridian, Idaho.

And the third is a working Angry Birds game by Former Disney Imagineer Ric Turner.

Check them out, AFTER THE JUMP...

  1. OK, my morning is off to a late start now. I watched every one of these. =)

That's a lot of Christmas spirit.

  3. Wow: Imagine Finesse...
Credits integrated into a "tribute" - very classy...

  4. I hate to be the grinch that stole the holiday display, but the first one spelled "remembrance" wrong.

  7. These are all very cool. However, I am glad that I don't live next door to any of these people!

  8. The first one is really cool from an engineering standpoint, but left me cold artistically.

  9. Seriously, If I lived near anything like this, I'd be cutting some electrical cords. A complete nuisance.

  10. Sorry, but a Skrillex dubstep just doesn't put me into the holiday spirit.

  11. Progressive House Drummer Boy takes it for me!

  12. In the words of the immortal Jean Brodie, if you like that sort of thing, that is the sort of thing you like. Video number 2 - Christmas spirit? I don't think so. But "number 2" seems an apt designation. I found it so annoying to listen to that I stopped watching. MRMNYC - I'm with you. I'd be all about some vandalism if I lived anywhere near these monstrosities.
