Randy Phillips with Your Shirtless Air Force Morning Workout: VIDEO
Randy Phillips, the formerly closeted airman who made a name for himself on YouTube talking about 'DADT' as it was repealed, would like to open his own gym one day. His latest video offers some advice on how to start shedding the holiday pounds.
Watch, AFTER THE JUMP...

He said in another video that he would be posting a new video every day this month. I do think it is fair to say he likes the attention, but I don't think he is a fame whore.

Thanks, Andy.
Please post or link to the promised subsequent offerings.

Kinda disappointing but I think he's still figuring himself out. Doubt he calculated but he's certainly cashing in, and there's nothing wrong with that as long as he keeps it in line. His previous vid was all about basic training and probably a great intro to anyone considering joining up. His tweeps keep asking him to take his shirt off and show exercises, so he did a little of that. We'll have to watch and see how it goes.
But Lord knows he's no trainer as Bart pointed out above "Umm... You don't get rid of love handles by exercising the muscles under your love handles. What is this, 1940?"
He says he's just an average GI. Just wish he had someone to edit out all the under average stuff and leave the over average. There's a lot of both.

This blows. Yeah, he's 'hot' I guess. But, I agree with all of the criticism towards this guy. Following that coming out video to his father I too suspected that this guy just wanted to be in the limelight more than anything, rather than really trying to be an inspiration. His father didn't even care as it turned out. This pretty much confirms my suspicions. Reminds me of Reichen Lemenkhul. Wonder how long before he's on a reality show. Probably his goal all along. Disappointing.

Those pits are delicious. I could spend all day there!

I actually learned something from the video and it DID get me to go to the gym today. Please make more and dress any way you want!

In one of his videos after his famous DADT video, he claimed that if he could be straight, he "absolutely would". Ever since then I have been biased against him. He's just more of the same insecure self loathing bull we are all so accustomed to.
In the same video he talks about being hated on for not liking lady gaga and for not being a stereotypical effeminate gay man. Sigh...Oohh we all know how oppressive and closed minded fem gay man are to masculine gay men, why can't fem gays just be nice and tolerant like the white southerners this guy grew up around.
The video goes on to encourage open mindedness (i.e. fem gays should stop hating on masculine gays), but never back tracks on the wishing to be straight comment. And this guy is a brave, inspirational model for gays? Give me a break. He's lame!
Here is the video, "Don't Hate":

^No. He posted all over his twitter and in the comments of that video that he meant to say after he finished that he's now perfectly ok with being gay, that was the entire point of the video.
He routinely gets lost in thought so I definitely believe him.

When I go looking to buy products or services two sellers I'm biased towards are ex-military (they deserve our total support) and gay (keep it in the family) ones. This guy has an internet network of well-wishers (that's what we said, wasn't it?) and there's absolutely no reason why he shouldn't use it if he's going to try and make a living. I just don't see a problem and I still wish him the best.

"Oohh we all know how oppressive and closed minded fem gay man are to masculine gay men"
Yes we do. Just read the comments on this site any day of the week and you will see confirmation of that. I wasn't aware that he said that or that he had no use for Lady Gaga, but know that I do know that, I don't just want to shag him, I want to marry him! (LOL)

A video response in where he cries and apologizes and that he just wants to be accepted in 5...4...3...

If he wasn't hot, his coming out vid would never have received the attention it did here.
Posted by: Bryan | Jan 5, 2012 4:01:06 PM
Exactly. If he looked like Schrek and came out he wouldn't have been as popular as he is. There is nothing wrong with admiring this guy--nor does it take away from his coming out--but don't romanticize the hell out this guy and act like his online following is not primarily because of what you see in this video.

This is corny and tacky.
I guess since he used up 14 minutes of his fame on coming out he's going to use the last minute sexually objectifying himself.

@Cory
Ok, I didn't see him address that in the recent comments. Thanks for pointing that out. It definitely makes him seem more positive.
@Rick
So your primary evidence for how oppressive and close minded fem gay men are is nasty comments on a website? The issue I take with the soldiers comments are yours is that fem gay men are being singled out as oppressive and close minded.
What legislation have fem gay men proposed and passed to limit the rights of other gays? What brutal hate crimes have fem gay men committed against others gays for their masculinity? What political campaigns have fem gay politicians used masculine gays as scapegoats? What fem gay men have fired other gays from their job just because they were masculine. What fem gay parents have kicked their gay son out the house because he was too masculine?
In one form or the other, most of the above actions are carried out by close minded STRAIGHT people. And yet close minded straight people are not the first to receive criticism, it is fem gays.
And of course there are close minded and prejudice fem gays out there, just like in any segment of people. But given all the other crimes against the gay community, I do not think fem gays should bare the majority of animosity.
Fem gays, lady gaga, desperate house wives, drag queens, (or whatever stereotypical gay association you or others of your thinking want to bring up) have not done near the damage to the gay community as you may like to suggest and quite possibly WANT to think.

OK people just because someone inspires people on YouTube does not mean they are obligated to be a saint. More are they obligated to live up to anyone else's rediculous standards.. If you want him to be a role model for all gay people everywhere how about you write him a check to pay him for it.. Get off your high horses you have no right to tell him or anyone how much or how they are allowed to interact with the world. You haven't even got the right to suggest it. He is not a tool for your ideals.

There is nothing wrong with videos of cute young men in shorts...

Is it just me, or does he look like he's seriously struggling with these in the second half? Not too impressed.

There is most certainly a defensive mood on this website towards masc. gay men, even masculinity generally. It's too bad. Sharing with most gay men a preference for the masculine type I have nevertheless found that certain somewhat feminine men can be just as attractive when they reveal depth of character and the natural gravitas that comes from experiencing the world deeply. Ru Paul, however, is just too laughable at the door, bleh. Can't help it. But so is someone like Sylvester Stallone, also laughable in his thick his blue-collar stolidity which has to be called "masculine" I suppose, though it reeks.

And on his latest video posting he's added a link to a "tip jar" so you can give him money so he can open a gym someday.
Just a whore. So sad.

Nothing wrong with this video. Seems pretty useful to me. Love handles are a tricky part of the body to target.

Wow, another dim bulb body obsessed gay in search of fame. He should move to LA. He'll fit right in slash not stand out.

Ive met Randy, and he's a nice kid. Dont forget that he is just 21 or so, and believe me, he seems it.
Yeah the fame has got to his head a bit, but could happen anyone. He's still growing, im sure he'll find his place someday.

USAF Vietnam veteran who served honorably. I was once a hot young Airmen - played around at Charleston AFB, McGuire AFB, SHAPE Belgium and anywhere else I could. I remember my best straight friend holding my hand when we were young and horny on the Jersey Shore - later, after we were discharged, we became even closer. Don't give him such a hard time.
Beautiful Airman,
