and lemons should not be labeled “sour” and grass should not be labeled “green” and Cindy should not be labeled “confused” or “duplicitous” or “female”.
    See how easy that is?

  2. Disgusted Gay American says

so cindy – Im sure If Peirce had a Anti-semite on,and he was against Jews..then He wouldn’t be labels a ANTI-SEMITE? ..or would he just be speaking his mind ie: free speech??? Same goes IF Peirce interviewed David Duke…and he went on and on about how Blacks are less than….then we wouldn’t call him a Racist? I mean its just his opinion, right????

  3. Jack M says

Yes, by making an aural and visual recording of exactly what Cameron said, the media is distorting the perception of what kind of person he is. Cindy’s been drinking the Kool Aid, hasn’t she? This could have been our First Lady, folks!

  4. Vern Dufford says

Who’s Morgans going to bring on next to claim their not Bigoted Rush, I suppose. All these quests of his Piers should have the definition of the word put in front of them before they answer. Their only conclusion could be by definition of the word…yes I am a bigot.

  5. says

it’s actually “socially-Liberal/Moderate” conservatives that are the most ineffectual holdups.

they’re the ones who claim to be against Inequality, yet don’t care enough about it to do anything.

the liberal media is not to blame for pointing out the statistic realities of GOP bigotry. the overwhelming party of NO.

  6. mike8787 says

Someone needs to explain to the Republican party that bigotry is not a term to describe intent, but actions. Kirk Cameron actively campaigns against the rights of the LGBT community, and speaks of them using disparaging terms, so he is a bigot.

The Republicans are doing their best to redefine this word. Under their logic, the only time someone could be a bigot is if they intended to be a bigot. That’s nonsensical. Furthermore, liberal and non-partisan media needs to step up and object to this idiotic rhetoric. It convinces the more gullible among us that they can be derogatory and hateful and that it does not matter if they claim they aren’t so. This is some big brother crap, and it needs to stop. A spade is a spade is a spade.

    Definition of BIGOT
: a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance.
    Yup….bigot

  8. Vincent says

    BIGOT:

“a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group with intolerance.”

  9. atomic says

And she has the nerve to pose for the NOH8 campaign? Sorry, but just because you personally fancy yourself to be progressive and anti-discrimination, doesn’t mean that you are. Bigots don’t get to decide for themselves (or for each other, which is what she’s doing) whether they’re bigots.

What really upsets me is how this sort of thing gets a pass. Decades ago, it was more socially acceptable to openly declare your bigotry, so now that it’s no longer socially acceptable, the bigots have resorted to defending themselves by saying hateful things and then claiming that they’re not bigots. But then the media doesn’t challenge them. That cognitive dissonance somehow just gets accepted at face value when it’s just one more lie like everything else they say.

  10. Paul R says

I think she only posed for NOH8 because her daughter made her and she’d had a fight with John and wanted to piss him off. It’s clearly not reflective of her true feelings.

Either that or her pills tell her to believe different things on different days. Or she was confused about the meaning of the words Yes and No.

  11. Rin says

I absolutely hated living under the Bush administration. It was a mean-spirited, war-mongering age of what I feel was social apathy. Because of Obama’s win (based on mostly the fact that people felt he would really be different and open and show up at your house to hug you, etc) I think many liberals felt that it was okay to come on out and have a victory dance party. So they did.

The party did not last. It just didn’t. Slowly, the Republicans made a steady climb back into the Congresses and now they are poised to take the presidency.

Fox News is the number one rated cable news program, not MSNBC. More Americans get their political meals at the table of wacked out uber conservatives. It’s easy when you are among your own friends to think that the whole country’s going to stay open-minded and that things will be all peachy.

I have a horrible feeling that Mitt Romney’s going to be in the White House next year and you will see what Mormons are like. Everything you think about Catholics…triple it. They are quiet and private about their beliefs because they know it will scare people. They are the kinds of bait and switch.

They show up at your door with their cute wholesome white shirts and the next thing you know you’re wearing magic underwear.

So, yes, Cindy here may be a wuss, but I’d rather have a wuss Republican than a strong Republican, and that is what it looks like we’re getting.

Ron Paul fans have been disparaged and they are the only independents left. Who will they vote for when they can’t vote for him?

    Jesus, I’m depressed.

    1. My mother taught me…If you can’t say anything nice about a person, don’t say any- thing at all, but she wasn’t an avowed Christian. I must admit that I find it hard not to say bad things about Republicans, Neo-Nazis and child abusers.
    2. Mrs McCain believes in the equality of gay people as long as they don’t get uppity and remain in those flower and hair shop professions.
    3. In the past when I’ve posted that fundamentalist christian republicans were out to destroy the modern world, I have been accused of hate toward conservative people. I never thought so and now I can quote Mrs. McCain.

  13. Vern Dufford says

Heads up, another guy who does not think that he’s bigot is on Piers Morgans tonight Santorum. Will he get the bigot question…again?

I hope that Morgan has the definition of the word right in front of him!
    Twitter him!

  14. Azgaard says

Personally, I don’t believe that someone who believes being gay is a sin/bad/wrong is a bigot. The bigotry comes from that person trying to make me or anyone else act as if I believed being gay is a sin/bad/wrong. Since Kirk Cameron has actively campaigned against LGBT right, he is a bigot.

  15. Patrick says

Oh, yes mam, we understand now. We love Mr. Cameron, mam. And we’ll quit being uppity now and go back to cleaning the big house, mam.

    Puleeeeeze!!

  16. SearchCz says

Someone who rejects rational thought & facts because they are in conflict with previously formed opinion – especially one who is hostile to people who hold differing opinions – is a bigot.

  17. says

Being called a bigot isn’t harsh if you are a bigot. What’s harsh is being the target of bigotry. Once again a straight person who clearly is not schooled on the subject of homophobia is offering an uninformed and inaccurate opinion. I’m not saying that heterosexuals cannot have an opinion on the matter; I’m only saying that I’m tired of people trivializing hurtful remarks that ultimately reinforce untrue beliefs about gay people. Instead of Cindy McCain, why not ask any of the people who have been harmed by this rhetoric what they think. There are many.

  18. Paulie says

Ridiculous that she was allowed to participate in the NOH8 campaign. Her photos should be removed because she is clearly NOT an ally of the LGBT community.

  19. jim says

Piers really ought to just drop the Cameron thing already. He has to dredge this up and rehash it with every guest now? It’s boring and he’s perilously close to becoming a One Trick Pony.

  20. brett says

If you look at what Kirk said and replace gay with black (or Asian, Hispanic etc.) there would be a huge backlash from all sides. Do you think Cindy with be on TV defending him then? This is a clear example of how far gay rights still have to go.

  21. Truth v Lies says

QUOTE: Kirk Cameron actively campaigns against the rights of the LGBT community, and speaks of them using disparaging terms, so he is a bigot.

As the pink mafia ALWAYS speak of those who think for themselves in disparaging terms they must by definition be bigots. If they are not, then Kirk Cameron can’t be.

  22. Truth v Lies says

QUOTE: I think former teen-age heart-throbs are unsettling, creepy, dumb and should not be allowed to marry, but I am not a bigot because I love them.

This comment makes it very clear that you are a bigot.

  23. Truth v Lies says

QUOTE: Personally, I don’t believe that someone who believes being gay is a sin/bad/wrong is a bigot. The bigotry comes from that person trying to make me or anyone else act as if I believed being gay is a sin/bad/wrong. Since Kirk Cameron has actively campaigned against LGBT right, he is a bigot.

Since the pink mafia has actively campaigned against common sense marriage and told us it is wrong, then they must be bigots.

  24. Truth v Lies says

QUOTE: BIGOT: “a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group with intolerance.”

Yup. Describes the pink mafia to a T.

  25. Truth v Lies says

QUOTE: we’re not antigay, we just don’t think gay people should have the same rights as straight people

We are not anti Christian. We just don’t think they should have freedom of speech if they disagree with us.

  26. Truth v Lies says

QUOTE: Kirk Cameron is not a bigot, he is an ignorant brainless fool

Only an ignorant brainless fool could come up with such an ignorant brainless comment like that.

  27. Truth v Lies says

A typical “poor me” victim mentality comment. Do some reading about the poor and dispossessed in Africa and then thank God you live in the lap of luxury.

I don’t doubt that Kirk fully understands that homophobia is an inordinate fear of homosexuals and homosexuality. Now the pink mafia needs to learn this instead of spreading the lie that it means someone who disagrees with them.

  28. Truth v Lies says

QUOTE: Cameron’s WORDS are bigoted. His mouth was better used when it had cocks in it.

This comment says more about you than Kirk. So pathetic and brain dead.
