Romney Reacts to Obama Shift on Same-Sex Marriage: VIDEO
Adding to remarks in Denver prior to the Obama interview confirming his opposition to same-sex marriage and civil unions, Mitt Romney told press in Oklahoma later this afternoon that his views had not changed:
"My view is that marriage itself is a relationship between a man and a woman and that's my own preference. I know other people have differing views. This is a very tender and sensitive topic, as are many social issues, but I have the same view that I've had since running for office."

"By the way, I'm not really a fan of those blacks, either. You know, the ones Elohim cursed with darker skin so we'd know they're rejectors of Christ. And I made sure to let my sons know that if they ever choose to be gay they won't get their own planet when they die. And if there's one thing we want when we die it's a planet full of women to engage in boring missionary sex with."

Little Kiwi, ok, it's a farcical religion, but let's not have making fun of it the focus of comments here. BTW I thought they got their own universe or at least a galaxy, not just their own planet.
Let's focus on the use of milquetoast-y language to make it seem like something he considers trivial, when he really thinks it's an abomination. (because his religion says so) It's just his "preference" for "traditional" marriage even though it's a "tender" issue...blah blah blah excuse me I'm gagging.

This is a measured, very politically correct response from Romney. Now look for outside organizations such as NOM to do the dirty work and create Obama's gay marriage support into a wedge issue in Ohio and Florida that will drive socially conservative swing voters to the polls for him

But Governor, you change your positions on a whole host of issues every single day depending on which way the political winds are blowing and which Republican pressure group you listened to on that day. So are you going to be anti gay when campaigning in NY or in one of your home states like Massachusetts or just in states like NC? Honestly Governor it is quite hard to keep track of all your different positions as you travel around the country.
Truth be told I have no doubt that you and your ilk will use your hatred towards gay people as a wedge issue in this election because you have very little else to run on. When history is written though you will be seen to have been on the wrong side a la George Wallace and the segregationists.

If that is your preference, Mr. Romney, then by all means prefer that. However, it is not right to force all people to succumb to your preference. You have no right to force your preference on all people. My preference is that ALL people make their own choice in the matter. We are not trying to force straight couples to engage in homosexual relationships or marriages. Just allow us our freedom to chose.

Don't speak ill of the Mormon religion until you understand. Religious intolerance is the reason this great country was colonized, they wanted a place to worship as they please. Be better then that. Do your homework and read the book of Mormon. I would eager that no man who has seriously studies and pondered the Mormon (or any) religion would have something bad to say. Only the uneducated are foolish enough to play into religious intolerance.

Did anyone notice CNN quoted Mitt Romney saying "CIVIL UNIONS GOOD ENOUGH"? ROMNEY HAS CLEARLY STATED HE IS AGAINST GAY CIVIL UNIONS. I have searched the Internet today and see no one writing about this. WAS CNN WRONG? If not, why is there no news of Romney possibly changing his position? HELP! IM CONFUSED!!!!
