BBC Releases Animated Olympic Opening Sequence: VIDEO
The BBC today unveiled its minute-long opening sequence for the London Olympic games. It's something of mix between a Pixar adventure flick on the highlands and an energy drink commercial.
Check it out AFTER THE JUMP.

Cool. GO USA!

That's only the 1 minute trailer. The full 2 min 40 sec trailer is being broadcast on BBC1 at 7.30pm (UK time) tonight. Looking forward to it and the Olympics in my city!!

Kind of stupid. Looks like Pixar's "The Incredibles."

There is nothing stupid about The Incredibles.

Wouldn't it be great if the entire Olympics was like this? I'm going to watch the Olympics from Taiwan NMA. I'm sure it will be 1000 times more interesting.

That reminds me: will NBC FINALLY retire that annoying fanfare that they have been using to introduce their prime-time coverage for, like, FOREVER??
And furthermore: have they vetted the US team sufficiently to make sure that every single one of their athletes has a good sob-story in their resume of how they overcame personal hardship and unprecedented challenges etc. etc? That seemed to be a requirement last time around.
Lastly: Is BBC America going to offer extensive coverage as an alternative to having to list to Bob Costas once again?

Pathetic.
Why use cartoons when real athletes are the focus of the Olympics.
This is like a promo for the robot olympics.
A real waste f money
