To answer your question, yup, you did “forgot anyone”… Gertrude Stein, Tamara de Lempicka, Richard I, Edward II, John Singer Sargent, Alice B. Tolkas, Christina of Denmark, Oscar Wilde, Truman Capote, Jesus (?), Shakespeare, Christopher Marlowe, Charles Laughton, Rock Hudson, Alexander the Great, Armistead Maupin, Edward Hopper, Tom of Finland, David Hockney, Keith Haring, Marlene Dietrich… I could go and on. The list itself isn’t important, but it’s nice to recognize all the people who have shaped our world who also happened to be queer. We’ve got a proud history; let’s celebrate it. Fun song overall.

Sheryl Swoopes? You mean the former WNBA player who got a ton of publicity for being a lesbian, who said things like “I’m 100% lesbian!” and is…..now engaged/married to a man?

    That Sheryl Swoopes?

Continuing Busytimmy’s composer-centric list: Benjamin Britten, Michael Tippet, Peter Maxwell Davies, David Diamond etc. Plus, Peter Pears.
