  5. Costa Mesa, CA CFA has a backup down the street. Funny, the people who are most likely to be eating their fried chicken today are the people who most likely shouldn't be eating fried chicken - Protest gay marriage and get a free side of diabetes! Yaaaa!

  6. Comedy - a "friend" on facebook just posted that the line at the Costa Mesa CFA was too long so she's going to the Starbucks across the street (because she "felt like coffee anyway"). I had to point out the irony in her decision.

  7. So Caca has an album, a tour, and now a perfume with the word "Fame". Sounds like someone is a little famewh0re who will do anything to keep her "fame".

  8. The US Supreme Court is controlled by the Republicans. Always has been and always will be until we demand change !

The whole system is corrupt. We need to admit it's a mess and start to fix it.

The Supreme Court are not just supposed to do what any political party asks them to do - they are supposed to be above political influence. This pathetic lot of judges has proved they are not capable of doing that so we need to kick them all out.

    It's a national embarrassment.

  9. Why put a "?" after the Ted Cruz thing, of course he'll be the Texas Senator. A young Conservative Hispanic Senator. Two of them in the Senate soon! I worked my ass off for Rubio and Cruz.
    The liberal's nightmare.
So where da liberal Hispanic Senators? Why so many old white people?!

  10. Sorry I meant to say Macaulay Culkin IS an adult so let him kill himself.

  11. Towle goes with a homophobic epithet again "U.S. Senate to get new teabagger." Self-loathing much, gay progs?

    Posted by: AG | Aug 1, 2012 5:22:45 PM

  12. The Olympic "sensoring" of the divers just makes the whole things seem dirtier than it is- congratulations Mr Phelps! Ted Cruz sounds like a total idiot.

  13. Oh look, AG is trolling the forums again. How sad your life must be.

    Posted by: LiamB | Aug 1, 2012 5:32:57 PM

  14. Yuck, Michael Phelps is gross. He looks like Gomer Pyle.

    Posted by: ? | Aug 1, 2012 5:38:11 PM

  15. @AG: how is "teabagger" homophobic? last i checked, straights teabag too.

    Posted by: redball | Aug 1, 2012 5:40:32 PM

  16. @AG - Whenever I think of "teabagging" I think of frat boy pranks. Gays don't have to teabag, it's called "foreplay" to us.

    Posted by: Craig | Aug 1, 2012 5:51:19 PM

  17. Hey, I had a crush on Gomer Pyle when I was but a wee thing — he was also a bit twee. Mr Phelps is indeed a bit sexier, I'm sure his body is better than Gomer's was. In any event this is all just useless information.

  18. LOl @Craig- agreed!!!

@Markus- it's great that you're involved in the civic process- and I understand the points that many different conservatives are trying to make- about the deficit, etc.- but is Cruz really going to stand up for gay Texans, too?

Look, I think the sooner everyone is equal, and treated as such, the sooner we can actually get down to fixing things- real problems. There could be just as many gay conservatives on that day as there are gay progressives and independents. But so many Republicans do everything they can do deny gay people rights, to treat us like sh*t, and I def wouldn't feel welcome in that party.

  19. Phelps is a great athlete, but only so-so as far as the hotness quotient goes (and I think he is definitely gay); Lochte is hotter, but not as great an athlete.

Lots of hot bods among the swimmers and divers and water polo players, of course, but in case some of you have missed it, check out the US archery team--they get my gold medal for hotness at the Olympics, so far. Two real hotties and another that is not bad at all. It was a great pleasure to watch them competing the other day--not only were they all hot, but all three had nice bulges in their shorts! Plus the archery poses showed off their biceps perfectly. All-American boys at their best.

Much more attractive than any of the gymnasts....and the Russian gymnasts were cuter than the US team, too--looking forward to seeing more of them in the individuals.

  20. I know Phelps is butt ugly. But I'm starting to have a bit of a crush on that monster, and I don't know why.

  21. Just a heads-up, Towleroad. J-Lo and Casper have some big gun attorneys threatening to sue anyone who publishes that story.

    Posted by: Hector | Aug 1, 2012 7:02:34 PM

  22. The one-month extension for filing in the DOMA cases means nothing. Surprised to find Geidner hyperventilating. The GOP will use teh issue as it pleases. It doesn't need a particular event to be timed in a certain way in order to do its thing.

  23. Gaga's book should be called "Manufactured Fame" They should have let Anderson's show crash and burn, but nobody can so no to the arrogant brat. The Supreme Court needs more time to decide how to get Justice Thomas out of that "Mommy" T-shirt.

  24. Uhm markus

guess U didnt get the memo

Top repub campaign operative (probably karl rove himself...remember how he yelled in fear of I am not a witch senate lady who lost miserably) said yesterday cruz election will scare/ see texas turning purple in 4 years

the tea party is destroying the party of lincoln

  25. Anderson. You spent years scowling on CNN, now we're supposed to think that smile is genuine? There was only one Dinah Shore. At least Nate Berkus has a talent. He should be put in your time slot.
