Romney's Horse Rafalca Stars in New MoveOn Ad: VIDEO

Rafalca

The Romney's horse Rafalca, which came in 13th in the Olympics 'dressage' competition, is all dressed up for a new ad from MoveOn:

"My name's Rafalca, the Romneys' dressage horse. You might have seen me execute 'leg yields' and 'flying changes.' How do I pull off such grace and athleticism while looking so good? Maybe it's because the Romneys spend $77,000 per year on my upkeep...After Mitt Romney repeals health care and ships your jobs overseas, I daresay your life won't be nearly as pampered as mine. After all, you're not one of his horses."

Watch, AFTER THE JUMP...

  1. Why is dressage in quotes? Did Gabby win the gold in 'gymnastics'?

  2. Hate to nitpick, but $77,000 is the tax deduction the Romneys claim for the horse, not the amount on upkeep. Upkeep is considerably more.

  3. Yes, dressage upkeep costs much more per year. At least $150,000 and that's for low-rent, discount maintenance.

  6. PS

yeah tax deduction on rafalca is $77,000 per year for mittens while the average american only get $1,000 tax write off on each human child

  7. Hate to nitpick also, but the whole point is, if one can afford to spend $150,000 to $250,000 a year on a horse, they don't need a tax credit!

The same goes for a $285,000 Bentley Mulsanne, if you can afford it, you don't need a tax credit.

  8. Did you embed the right video? There's no horse in it.

  9. If you have ever wondered why the US is so far behind the rest of the western world with human rights for gay people then just take a look at the pathetic comments above.

Instead of engaging in politics or even discussing politics, American gays want to talk about gymnastics or hot guys or TV shows.

Until we educate our own people we have no chance of educating the heterosexuals.

We are an embarrassment to our own cause.
