OMG Mitt and Paul’s speeches are far more funny and entertaining that any of the Obama – Biden speeches! I just so love them and owe them a lot for being a good time pass for us before the election. LOL They are the biggest jokes in years. Hell no soap operas could beat them but sadly they’ll be beaten up by the Democrats in the Election. No more fun after that! Only serious business. :(

Look, I’m thrilled that they’re not going to vote for him… but being right is no excuse for rudeness or disrespect. So because you’re an old fart… it’s OK to be an @sshole?

  3. LiamB says

KACCompany, purposefully deceiving others is not very respectable, and he deserved to be called out on it. Perhaps he should have gone a different route than trying to insult their intelligence.

Miss Manners points out that booing at the opera is an old and established tradition, and no offence against etiquette or manners. Surely the same rules apply to political campaigning, especially given how much more is at stake.

  5. Gigi says

Eddie Munster, a.k.a. Paul LyAyn, was loving the booing. He’ll probably go home, put the boos on a loop, and make his wife service him while he listens to it. Typical Rethug.

  6. Andrew says

The booing at the AARP Convention was good to hear because the polls are showing that a majority of Seniors support Romney/Ryan. Mabye that will change by election day.

  7. Diogenes Arktos says

@Andrew: The booing at the AARP Convention didn’t surprise me, as it has a reputation of being liberal. Seniors supporting Romney makes as much sense to me as LGBT people supporting them.

  8. i could go on, but I won't says

Ha,ha, the seniors know a grinning little sh*t when they see one!

It is frightening that this guy is considered an intellectual in Congress. He strikes me as having all the intellectual depth of a college sophomore at a second rate Catholic college. (No offense, no on second thought, go ahead and take offense, if so inclined.)

He’s trying to make a government insurance program that they paid into sound like a welfare hand out at the expense of younger citizens. It is not true and they know it.

  9. TonyJazz says

It is sad that most seniors are not aware enough to recognize the anti-senior positions of the repub party. At least, the AARP crowd is smart enough (but my own parents aren’t—-too much Faux News).

Good for them for booing this liar and fool!

  10. Strepsi says

@ I COULD GO ON, BUT I WON’T — exactly, that’s the scariest thing is the Republicans are so proud of him for being ‘intellectual’…. he’s actually their best and brightest?!!!

Granted, compared to Jan “beheadings in the desert”, Sarah “I can’t name a book or magazine” Palin, Todd “legitimate rape” Akin, or Rick “I can’t name things” Perry, he’s like f***ing Einstein.

  11. rjp3 says

He will go home and watch this clip to get off. Sociopaths love feeling smarter even when they are lying to themselves to get to that feeling.

    His word?
No we will not take the word of a pathological self serving elitist. Thanks.

  12. FunMe says

Freaking WEASEL! I detest that corporate whore Paul Ryan. He’s a TRAITOR to American Democracy as he is a major player in trying to get rid of Social Security and Medicare and send it over to Wall Street.

So glad he is getting his karma. BAD KARMA.

  13. says

kaccompany, I’d like to introduce you to the TeaBaggers, who not only booed Democratic congressmen & congresswomen, but shouted them down, threatened them, insulted them, and wrought so much havoc that no serious, meaningful discussions could take place during the 2010 midterms. Anything anyone throws at these scumbags (no wait, they’re not even as good as a scumbag, which serves at least one useful purpose) is justified and proper.

In other words, and maybe words Lie’n Ryan can understand: As ye sow, so shall ye reap. And to you, kac, with all due respect, sit down and shut up.

  14. cbhermey says

It’s gratifying to me to see seniors taking a stand and I personally don’t see anything wrong with voicing opinion in the form of a ‘boo’. Why is yelling ‘boo’ rude, but applause is OK?

Ryan deserves to know that he can’t count on seniors for their vote. Besides, they don’t pay taxes…

….I am a “senior”…and I am proud of my fellow seniors, especially those who bother (or are able) to go to the conventions. We have been sold short. We have been told in so many convoluted (GOP,anyone?) ways that Medicare and Social Security are Government “hand-outs” and being of the typical GOP mentality want LESS government involvement in our lives…..right. They want to legislate what a woman can and cannot do with her body, just for starters.LESS government? Oh wait, I suppose that is from the GOP-manual. It’s “different”, they say. Really? Huh.
Paul Ryan and Mittens Romney DO NOT deserve my vote and will not get it. I only hope and pray my peer group feels the same. Obama is not a magician nor a annoited savior, but he understands this country better than rich cats who try to convince us to adhere to their agendas…whatever they are. Romney certainly hasn’t yet hit an agenda point that ANYONE can get behind.
Unless you are in the 1%. Being mega-wealthy doe not make a leader. It is perfectly all right to make money and lots of it. that’s America. I defend that ability, but do not try to bamboozle me into thinking you actually can run a powerful country, be a good representation for the U.S. and actually have a well read and involved world-view. Romney has none of these qualities. Game over, GOP.better luck next time.

@Bud: so sorry. Pawlenty has left the Romney campaign. (I guess the inherent lying got too much for him.) He is going to be a lobbyist for Wall Street. (Maybe I was too quick to believe he’s actually honest.)
