Romney Squirms at Press Conference in Response to Leaked Clips of Private Fundraiser: VIDEO

I guess that plan to take control of his messaging this week is pretty much scrapped.

Watch Romney squirm at his emergency presser, AFTER THE JUMP...

Here's the full press conference, before the Q&A:

  1. He wishes the person would put out the full video? They don't have their own full video of the event? Shouldn't they be making their own recordings of events since everyone nowadays records everything on their own gadgets?

Since he likes firing people so much he should fire his own staff for incompetence.

  2. Soooo Thurston got caught - in what he thought was a small social gathering with Lovey and a Few Rich Guests saying how he REALLY feels!

  3. How much do you want to bet they start making those attending & the staff sign a clause or check for all electronic equipment prior.......

  4. The British got it right :
    Mitt the twit.

  5. And Romney just received his first intelligence briefing...Why? He ain't gonna need it.

  6. Mitt has now been proven to be the elitist jerk many of us have suspected he was all along. It's the beginning of the end for him.

  7. Who never thought this election wasn't going to boil down to makers versus takers? Producers versus moochers? This must be like a slap of ice water in the lame stream media's face.

Obama does nothing but promise free this and free that. "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money." - The Iron lady.

  8. And the irony is that most of those 47% live in red states and many will vote Republican! Then there are the red state farmers getting tax money for support (which is what welfare for farmers is called) and large banks getting bail outs (which is what welfare for bankers is called).

Romney's views of the economy are even less sophisticated than Paul Ryan's which are like a college sophomore's at a second rate school!

And the audience have to be even more unsophisticated than that!

Gotta love the ironies, if nothing else.

  9. kinda like that time when batman outed the penguin, who was running for mayor of gotham city, by airing his hidden recording at city hall.
the penguin (to batman): "you gotta admit, i played this stinking city like a harp from hell!"

  10. "President Obama's campaign is attractive to those who don't pay taxes".....well, then, Mr. Romney, wouldn't it be attractve to you? Considering the relatively few amount of taxes you pay?

man this guy is a tool!

  11. C'mon Markus, even a self-loving, community-loathing queen like yourself can understand that a solid percentage of those "moochers" wouldn't vote for President Obama in fear that he'd take away their God, guns, and make them all get gay married.

If this election boiled down to the "makers" (apparently people like RMoney and yourself who don't think they need the government for anything) and the "takers" (people like myself, who, while paying lots of taxes, still depend on government and still feel "entitled" to specific programs), this election would be won all blue in a landslide.

It's only a race because people hate you, Markus. Get that into your pretty, little head.

  12. @ MARKUS :
Anyone who quotes Margaret Thatcher has obviously missed out on the evolution of society over the last 20 years.

  13. @ Markus:

Going to 'The Iron Lady' for quotes on socialism is the most ridiculous thing ever. OK, maybe not ever, but close.
She ruined GB with her anti-workers policies.

Socialism is to pay taxes so that a country can build roads, schools, hospitals. Socialism is to take care of the elders when they no longer can do it themselves. Socialism is to think about your community and not just yourself.

And socialism is to provide food, shelter, and healthcare to the people. How the heell is that considered a bad thing???

  14. one word ....LOCO!!!!!!

  15. Actually, voting demographics are split mostly along religious and ethnic lines. Income levels alone don't predict how someone will vote.

  16. This man's actions are the furthest thing from being presidential. He has no idea he has to serve EVERY American not just the rich people. And to go talking about international affairs like that, you know he just wants to start a war so his rich buddies can profit off of it.

  19. @ Markus,

Hey, asswipe, I seem to remember your bitter self-loathing comment:

"Keep whistling past that graveyard, girls. The media had Carter beating Reagan by up to 40 points prior to their first debate. They were just as terrified then as today."

I'm not trying to make any judgments about non-gender-conforming behavior or feminine men, but it's REALLY obvious that your stupid Republican relatives hate you because your're too feminine for their liking. You then get on this blog and give us a classic demonstration of projecting your own characteristics on all Towleroad readers.

After Romney's latest disaster on this fundraising video, you sound very much like a girl whistling past the graveyard. This is, of course, assuming that you think it would be a bad thing for Obama to make further progress on equality and gay civil rights. At least, that's what you tell your stupid relatives shortly before they punch you in the mouth and throw you out of their house during the holiday season.

  20. Mitt's not sweating - he's leaking oil. His emotion chip can't handle the strain of lying, faking remorse and resisting the urge to assimilate the crowd into the collective.

    Posted by: FuryOfFirestorm | Sep 18, 2012 2:14:42 PM

  21. Fact: most Americans would get their taxes hiked under Mitt Romney's tax plan. Only the super rich would get (super huge) tax cuts under his plan.

  22. Thanks for the update
