A Message to All Towleroad Readers re: Hurricane Sandy

We here at Towleroad hope that all of our readers in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, and D.C. areas are safe and sound in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. We hope everyone, including our first responders, stay safe in the coming days, as well.

Because of significant power outages in New York City, Andy and the team are not sure when they will be able to return to regular updates to the blog. Andy extends his sincere apologies, thanks you for being patient as New York slowly returns to normalcy, and thanks you for be such loyal Towleroad readers.

Stay safe and dry!

  3. As a loyal reader, I totally understand
the blogs predicament and wish you all a safe and speedy recovery.

The good news is the climate change deniers look as blinkered and backward as the flat earthers now. But first there's the job of getting back on track.

  7. understood, and i'll bet andy and the gang will find a way to get partial posts out to limp along.

probably put towleroad on notice that its time to add some west coast stringers for just such regional occurrences. i doubt this is going to be as much of a one off as most would like it to be.

  12. NY, my hometown, can deal with almost anything. Even a 'Normal' day would be considered intolerably chaotic in most other places in this country. I hope everyone is safe and secure down there.

On an up note, it was sunny with beautiful blue skies for roughly 12 minutes in Boston this morning. It's back to being completely overcast and grey. The wind all day yesterday was averaging 40-50 miles an hour sustained, not just gusts. Amazingly little damage considerering.
