Farid Mammadov Photo Caption Contest: VIDEO

Farid Mammadov

The folks over at Wiwibloggs decided to have some fun with Eurovision's muscle-bound Azerbaijani singer and are holding a caption contest for the above photo of Farid and his dancer in the green room. The submissions are pretty slim so far, so head on over and test your creativity after watching the video of his performance AFTER THE JUMP...

  5. Gay men are jealous of male-male sensuality that does not involve sex.

  6. I second the observation of his hands. Big and manly. I want them on me.

I, personally am all for male-male sensuality that doesn't involve sex. Though with sex is great too!!

  7. This is an odd post. What captions would you suggest? It seems like the actual story here would be reporting on the homophobic submissions that Wiwiblogs (or maybe just Towleroad) is encouraging.

  8. Wiwibloggs is a very gay Eurovision site, and the captions they're encouraging aren't homophobic...

And yes, Farid is extremely muscular. Look on Google images.

  9. The picture had been posted also on Farid's Facebook page but all comments about "gay" things are deleted.
I almost died of laugh when on Wiwibloggs someone wrote that Farid cannot be gay bacause there are no gay in Azerbaijan...

  10. I watched the semi-finals and final and it was sensual and erotic and the guys have nice bodies. I don't think they're gays, simply closeness.
@Jason, why would gay men be jealous?

  11. Hi guys do not forget that Azerbaijan is a Moslem country that forecast jail for gay people, so it's understandable that if gay, they will stay in the closet.

  12. His performance was very homoerotic (no matter the girl in the scene).
Azerbaijan takes eurovision very seriously. He ended in second position

  13. That ability for guys in some cultures to be physically close not in a sexual way is a good thing and I admire it. I grew up in a home where we were allowed to express our opinions, argue [a lot], and be close. We'd have big gatherings on Sundays and holidays with extended family, talk and argue. I always hugged my father, didn't shake his hand. But I noticed most of friends families were different, and I found them to be kind of remote and cold. I can clearly remember a friend of mine when he graduated HS trying to hug his dad and his dad literally flinched and physically backed away. I thought it was one of the saddest things I ever saw.

    Oh well.
