  1. That's not gaming the system on Gaga's part, it's fair game if the site lets people do that.

  2. In light of the Trevon Martin shooting, it is interesting to note, since ABC news did not, that the shooters of the Australian baseball player were two African American teenagers and one White teenage driver. The shooters excuse was boredom. Because of the sharp focus on race at the Zimmerman trial, why does ABC suddenly edit out facts in a murder?

  3. @HT - Zimmerman was a known racist, the killing took place in a town with a racist history and with a police department with documented white supremacist tendencies. That made race in the Martin killing very relevant.

What is the relevance of race in Lane's killing? Are the confessed killers know to have a racist history? Does Duncan, Oklahoma, have a history of black bigotry against whites? Does the Duncan police department have documented black supremacist tendencies?

  4. I'll rely on The Drudge Report for the real story. Not some knee jerk liberals trying to control the news.

  5. @HT,

The police allowed Zimmerman to go home with his gun. These three b.tch ass thugs are in jail...where they will stay for a long long time.

A White boy, A Black boy and a Biracial boy got bored and killed a visitor to this country--atleast that's what the police officals told us. Too many Americans love their guns.

  6. @ Tim:

You're obviously an idiot! You KKKonservative dingbats twist the facts to fit your bigoted agenda at the drop of a hat. You're knee-jerk reaction and projection doesn't make that any less true. Now scram you racist freak!

  7. Whether or not Lady Gaga is gaming the system (she is, by the way) is not the real issue. The real issue is that Billboard should not have ever started taking YouTube hits into account given how easily gamed that is.

Tracking sales and radio play at least requires people to put their money where their mouth is. YouTube watching is free to the viewer and easily manipulated. I hope Billboard will rethink its chart calculations.

Otherwise I'm gonna game the system and make sure the Macarena never leaves number 1 until they change it back to the old system.

  8. @ Tim

By the way, when you said "Drudge report" I literally laughed out loud! Drudge has as much credibility on telling the truth on any given issue as the National Enquirer,New York Post,or any other tabloid for that matter. And don't even get me started on the divisive,racist,anti-gay propaganda that is Faux news. You really have your head up your a** pal!

  9. HT...because there are laws and/or protocols in American media regarding the faces of criminals under 18.

That law does not exist in Australia...or if it does, that age is even lower.

Their picture were first broadcast, appropriately, in Australian media because the muder victim is Australian.

  10. How long before we see baby pictures of the Australian baseball player killers. Hard to imagine they could lift that gun and drive a car, being so cute/adorable in their strollers. Adorable? Adorable!!

  11. Welcome home Andy! I am so happy to get my news back at the end of the day, and glad to have you home.

  12. @GREGORY IN SEATTLE Great questions. Now, if the national media would ask the same and show a little objectivity with this horrendous and sad story, maybe we could get some answers. However, right now, the conservative media is controlling the dialogue over this by equating, erroneously, Trayvon Martin's murder to the murder in Duncan, OK. There is no equivalency. The circumstances could not be more different.
