Frog Becomes Inadvertant Star of NASA Moon Rocket Launch: PHOTO

2_frog

Over the weekend I posted about NASA's rocket launch carrying the LADEE, the Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer robotic probe. An unfortunate frog was captured in close proximity to the launch and its photo is now going viral. Hopefully, the frog made it out alive.

  5. Frogs usually don't get their 15 minutes of fame, but this one certainly did. Hope he finds a nice lily-pad and holds court with the other frogs in the pond.

  8. How is there a random frog that high up in the air? Frogs can jump, but geez.. Me thinks that somebody photoshopped it in.

  13. Luke: when a rocket launches with such force it blows debris and objects around that are surrounding the launch pad. You can also see other objects being scattered in the picture. Not hard to figure out.

From lily pad to launch pad!

  15. So if you care to find me
    Look to the western sky!
    As someone told me lately:
"Ev'ryone deserves the chance to fly!"
    And if I'm flying solo
    At least I'm flying free
    To those who'd ground me
Take a message back from me
    Tell them how I am
    Defying gravity
    I'm flying high
    Defying gravity
And soon I'll match them in renown
And nobody in all of Oz
No Wizard that there is or was
Is ever gonna bring me down!
